flying j in Kingman AZ
didnt leave jurupa terminal yesterday till around 1200.
waited for the load to come to terminal.
snow started to fall lightly at loves in Kingman so I stopped at petro for the nite. was dark by then and was forecasted for some heavy snow
left around 6 am this morning and made it to Lupton AZ at 1115 to switch loads.
should have left at 8 am. like I planned.
road were mostly wet and you could tell where the plows didn't make to yet.
was pretty slippery in flagstaff.
roads were much better driving back thru flagstaff. though it was snowing lightly at times.
but still made it here for the nite.
have to deliver this load tomorrow in Gardena ca and then.pick up a load in Compton when I get empty.
then gonna head for the terminal and spend the nite at home.
since I am gonna miss another trip we gonna run Friday and Saturday.
that way we can have Sunday and Monday off.

I delivered near here at the P&G in Edwardsville.
In the morning I'm headed to Neelys, MO for a P&G load going to North Platte, NE.
That is a very nice 900 miles that delivers Saturday.

 

You can turn the ringer off and the alarm will still function.

 

Then I have to remember to turn it back on again.
What a bother.

Calls like that do not happen often. When they do I let my feelings about it show.
It is so seldom that I get to tell someone off these days.
In some ways it is therapeutic.

Getting angry from time to time is good for the soul.

woke up to alot off snow on ground and truck.
heading back to jurupa terminal.
delivering on Tuesday in San Bernardino ca.
will have tomorrow and Monday off

I got here last night and decided to stay an extra day.
Freezing rain and snow all along my path to North Platte, NE today.
Walmart can wait for the toilet paper.

I went into the truck stop this afternoon. I could barely walk on the layer of ice in the parking lot.

A 900 mile load, so it will either be a very good week or a bad one. All depends on the road conditions tomorrow morning.
2400 vs. 1500...

520 miles to go, so I need an early start.

what a day.
left the travel center around 0830 this morning to about the 1st 50 miles of slippery roads.
as I got on freeway saw a tractor trailer in the median on its side. as I went by it was a swift trailer.
couldn't see the truck, so not sure if it was a swift driver.
been seeing alot of nonswift trucks hauling our trailers.
roads finly eared up around Holbrook.
started to snow pretty heavy going thru Winslow but was not sticking.
roads got icy again after ex 185 in bellemont az.
and finally cleared up around selegman az.
all accident were in Arizona.
3 trucks in median. 1 on its side, 1 truck jacknifed but still standing. 1 truck drove straight
into median but still standing.
3 cars spun out in the ditch.. and aa multiple vehicle accident with injuries.

got to the driveway of terminal with 2 minutes on 11.
