And WOW, that was very strange.
It is 73 degrees here at 2030 and out of nowhere a huge thunderstorm with pea sized hale belting down.
Loud.

Radar shows that I am barely at the edge of this storm that is moving east.
The hail didn't last longer than 5 minutes and now just some rain. But that was impressive.

 

loads really been sucking for me the last few weeks.
some days i work 11 hrs and then some only 6 hrs.
saturday they sent me to home depot dc in perris ca to recover a damaged trailer.
right door broke off.
only trip i did. one trip for friday too
also noticed that there were personal cars with red tags on windsheild where office and mechanics park.
asked my dl and other office people and they said that area is going to have some kind of solar panel for the charging systems they are installing for electric trucks.
not sure when its gonna start or when it will be done.

 

Things are slow now for sure. I'll deliver a load and the next load doesn't pick up until 24+ hours later.
That time of year I guess, ...

A bit outside St. Louis, MO on my way to Bowling Green, KY.
A bit out of my region but since freight is so scarce these days I'm probably lucky to have it.

My home time is set for Saturday, so I will need to start getting closer very soon.

I had a drive cam event that I had to explain.
From the cameras point of view it looked like I wandered out of my lane into the right lane, then abruptly veered back to the left lane.
After viewing the video I was able to explain what happened.
My speed was 68 so I had just passed someone. When I started my move back to the right lane the car behind me jumped into the right lane to pass me on the right. I saw the car speeding up and moved back to the left lane until it was clear again.
The tail end of the 20 second clip showed the car zooming past me.
That satisfied safety and the event was removed.

got sent to san bernardino to pick up a intermodul trailer and dwliver it to fontana ca
dl said to check landing gear. said it was suppose to have been fixed yesterday.
saw the foot was replaced. so woumd it up about half way when right landing gear fell down
called onroad and they sent jurupa guy out and he just strapped it up and told me to drop .it off at.fontana terminal.
as i pulled it out of the spot and rurned left trailer snapped off left mudflap frame.
got to termianl and saw that i lost the right one too.
let dl know.
shop told me to follow the mechanic and he would show me where to drop it.
he and another mechanic brought 2 jackstands and dropped trailer on that.
was abit nervous simce i havent done that before.
then took truck to the shop and they replaced mudflaps.
fun day.
other load i was gonna do was removed
