i picled up a few abandlon trailers in the last 2 months.
one left at the petro in ontario ca and the other on a street by a couple of our customers.
both were wmpty

 

Tonight I am being messed with.

My home time load was 'voided because the customer cancelled the load'.
I am sent a Costco reefer load sending me to MO.
I don't do reefer, so I turned it down.
The same planner sent me another Costco load going deeper into MO with no hope of getting home on time.
Turned that one down as well.

I really doubt that my original load was cancelled.

 

No other load offers until 0930 this morning.
A DM at my terminal sent me a load that would get me home on time.
The people I work with are really the best.

 

I came back from home time today to maybe the smallest, lightest and nearly shortest load I have ever had.

About 20 miles empty and 117 loaded, 120 pounds and 2 pieces, with 2 stops.
2 strips of metal, 1 each going to different John Deere places in MN, ending me up in Owatonna.

My next load isn't any better.
Picking up tomorrow at 1300 and delivering the next day at 1600 in IA, live on both ends.
60 empty and around 370 loaded.

This week is not starting out very well.

 

picked up a trailer that has a flat at shipper in perris ca
onroad says 2.5 hrs before tech gets here. past that and still not here.
3 hrs.left on 14 and still have to deliver it in ontario..

 

tire giy ended up showimg up 20minutes later than what was said.
made thw delivery which was a drop.
got lucky and saw yardog pull an emppty off a dock.
normally you got to.walk the yard since trailers are 2 to 3 deep..
hooled up a did walk aroumd and big hole in the roof.
grabned the same yarddog and showed him
he callee someome and they.verified the forklift already said something.
so left the empty there simce i wss runnomg out of hrs.
made it back to terminal with 15 minutes left on 14.
sent the mac 38 to.let swlft know and text my dl.

 

That's some bad luck with trailers. Hope that streak ends soon.

 

Aren't they called freight boxes now, instead of trailers?
