I had time to swing by the Menasha terminal this morning to meet my new DM. They were just starting to cook for driver appreciation week, so I grabbed a burger on my way out.

I really wish the computer would not set a bogus PTA every time I get a new load.
I have a 0900 live unload tomorrow, and as soon as I got the load assignment my PTA was set for 1000 by the computer.
And within 3 minutes a planner sent me a pplan having me pick up a load at 1100.
We all know that 2 hours should be allowed for a live unload, so why do the people that program these things have it set for only 1 hour?

I countered it with a pickup of 1130, since it was around 20 minutes away. The load was removed and I have not received another pplan all day.

It all just creates confusion and delays and frustration on everyone's part.

    dwells40 and dptrucker Thank this.

It would have been nice if they had told you when they did the work.

Is that the extender piece on the Cascadia front bumper?

    dptrucker Thanks this.

Mine doesn't have it, and I'm glad. I have seen many ripped off just from normal driving.
A deep driveway entrance or a high speed bump, and smoosh.

And they actually cause overheating? That's some good R&D right there.

    dptrucker Thanks this.

Giving the front bumper 3 inches of clearance must have been a no-brainer to those smart college kids.

College kids with lots of smarts but no brains at all?

    Pretty dead this weekend.
I'm around Indianapolis. I delivered last night and my next load doesn't pick up until anytime tomorrow, delivering near St. Louis Monday morning.
A total of 275 miles for the weekend. WooHoo!
