I delivered that load around 0800 this morning near St. Louis. My next load was a t-call in E. St. Louis, IL delivering to St. Louis, a live unload at 1500.
17 miles mt and 4 loaded. Well, that makes for a perfect day.

When I picked up the load the doors were open and the seal was inside the trailer, and the doors would not close properly because the pallets had shifted.
The BOL was for the first stop in Oklahoma City, but nothing for my destination.
    More of a perfect day.

After phone calls and some work I finally got the doors to close 'almost' properly, and found out that the first stop was actually supposed to be the final - but they had refused the load several times for some unknown reason. So it was t-called here and was being sent to this other place in St. Louis.
That load had picked up in mid-May, so several months ago.
    It gets better.

I deliver the load and do my empty call, only to be told that it is an OSD load and I can not do the empty call without calling OSD.
I called them and left a message, and so far no reply. I guess they were done for the day.

Might be a good idea to scan in the BOL before you get there, just in case this happens again?

The Amazon in Joliet, IL is typically a 6-8 hour live unload. I try to avoid doing Amazon loads because they are just so bad.

Dude, I had one one time that was 1 box, about the size of a shoe box. Wasn't from Amazon, I think maybe DHL. But, I was like, um, ok.....your money.
And it payed reasonably as well.

Is there ever more of a love/hate relationship when it comes to Amazon?!

We hate doing loads for Amazon because of how inefficient they are on that end, but we love to order things from Amazon for the exact opposite reason.

Their "efficiency" is frequently just a result of maximizing their internal efficiencies at the cost of their suppliers. "Efficient for me" doesn't mean "efficient for you".

I just said that, in not so may words.

On my consumer side I will continue to use Amazon when It is convenient to do so.
On my trucking side, I will avoid Amazon loads whenever I can.

Sons Hero and dwells40 Thank this.
