    Hampshire, IL at the Love's.

I just spent all weekend on a load with only 300 miles, all because of the empty trailer situation in MI.
The load was supposed to pick up at around noon Saturday and deliver at 0800 Sunday, just outside Chicago.
But I had no mt from my previous load. I was sent 160 miles to get the mt (my pickup had been 127 miles away), and then it was another 60 to the shipper.
After sitting in the dock for about an hour they came out to tell me that the trailer is rejected. It was leaking water.
Not much, but enough. It was a paper load at Graphic Packaging.
I am sent 60 miles to a Walmart DC to swap out trailers, but Walmart refused to let me do it. Too many damaged trailers ended up there so they won't let us swap empties now.
Then I shut down for the night.
When I got up this morning I contacted the planners to get a new trailer solution. I was sent 50 miles up to Lansing.
    Meijer let me swap empties.
I red tagged the old trailer and sent a mac 38 so it could get repaired, and had my (hopefully) good empty.
This time I was loaded in record time and was able to deliver the load at around 1600 - so 8 hours late.
Customer was good about it and had me unloaded quickly. They even cleaned out the trailer, which many places don't.

It was a frustrating weekend that turned out OK. The deadhead miles looking for a viable mt should have made up for any lost miles due to the time.

    I have. Several times.
Most times it does not know where I am. It is like 5 cities back.
And every time it says no trailers are near me and to contact my DM.
And there does not seem to be an option to refresh my location.
So far it is a total waste of time.

Like so, so many of these programs implemented by Swift to make things better for us... it seems the programmers just can't get things working like they are supposed to.
Remember Plus-1 and what a joke that turned out to be? Much the same with Find A Trailer it seems.

They pay people SO much money to do something, and it never seems to work out.

    dptrucker and dwells40 Thank this.

Why didn't just send you to get the trailer repaired? That's what they did for me the couple of time I had trailer with a hole I'm the roof.

    Any TA can do it.

    Moosetek13 and dwells40 Thank this.

    Northfield, MN at the J.

I delivered a Lowe's load in Plymouth at noon and then came here after the next load situation was resolved.
They sent a very nice pplan totaling around 800 miles. The only problem was I don't have the hours on my 70 to do it.
I countered with times I could do, and they resent it several hours later. I countered that with even later times, and then the planner called me.
He could see I didn't have the hours but wanted to get the load covered, and would contact CSR to see if my times would work.
    ?
Why wasn't that done the first time I sent the mac 9?

Well I guess the times were not OK so I was sent 'the next available load'... picking up 21 miles away at 1500 tomorrow and delivering 360 miles away at 1600 the next day - live on both ends.

    dptrucker Thanks this.
