New Boston, MI at the terminal after I t-called a load.
Wednesday evening and so far I have 1200 miles for the week. That is a very good start for the week.
Then comes my next load. Pick up tomorrow in Columbus, OH at the terminal and a live unload in Muncie, IN on Friday at 1230.
300 miles total, so that puts a damper on having a very good week.
Hopefully I'll have a good load after that to make up for it.

Next load is nice for miles, not nice for time.
Pick up is for Saturday at 2000 to Sunday, delivering 600 miles away in Gretna, NE at 0700 Monday morning. Can't deliver early.
Looks like it's ready now since there is a trailer number. Planner had said it could pick up early, which is good. I would hate to run that load if I couldn't pick up until 2000.
I guess it could be worst.
There were 2 other Swift trucks at the delivery in Muncie. One was there before me and one got there after me, and they were both still sitting after I got my load and headed out to find a truck stop.dptrucker Thanks this. -
Good thing I have some time on this load.
I woke up this morning to dead batteries.
Not real dead, just dead enough not to start the truck or have the interior lights on.
Lost about 2.5 hours waiting for on-road and the Love's truck to get there to jump it.
I guess I'll be idling whenever it is cold enough until my next b-service, instead of using the bunk heater.
My next home time is set for Friday, but the next b-service is due in about 1500 miles. We'll see how this pans out.JOHNQPUBLIC Thanks this. -
So I got to Gretna at 0645 this (Monday) morning for my delivery.
No one showed up until around 0800, and then I was told that they did not have a delivery scheduled for today.
After phone calls from both of us we found out that this load doesn't deliver until Thursday.
I was sent to Edwardsville terminal to t-call the load.
On the way there a trailer tire blew up, so, even more fun.
I lost a very nice 850 mile load that would have delivered Tuesday evening, and got two small 250 mile loads that will be finished up Wednesday afternoon. -
Not too much on the back story, but when I got done with that second little load I was due to pick up at Lowe's in Rockford, IL.
But, I had a bad trailer tire. It was out of air and the bead had broken, but it wasn't going anywhere and would not blow out so I rolled with it.
I was planning to stop at a Love's in Hampshire, IL to get it fixed on the way to Lowe's.
On the way there I called on-road to let them know my intention, and to ask them to call both the Love's and TA at that exit to see which would be better for a quicker fix.
Big mistake.
They decided to send me to the terminal in Chicago to get it fixed. I was not even aware of that terminal. Smack in the middle of Chicago.
On the way there, within 1 mile actually, the road was closed for construction. I tried to route around but ended up with low clearance bridges everywhere I looked. My DM said to just call them and let them know I was headed for the Love's.
On-road would have none of that and tried to send me to Gary or Manteno.
I would have none of that because it would mean I could not get to my next load.
After a lot of arguing, and going to the higher ups, they let me go to the TA to get it fixed... as long as a new tire was not required. They would not authorize that at all.
TA got me in as soon as I got there and had me back on the road in about an hour.
I made the pick up time and will deliver on time, no thanks to the Swift way of doing things.
Next time I will keep quiet until I am at the Love's or TA or wherever to get it fixed.dptrucker, JOHNQPUBLIC and dwells40 Thank this. -
Right.....

I am not someone that can take a month off work to watch a trial. Not at what they pay.

How much do they pay, by the way?dptrucker Thanks this.
