Good Night From II

After a bad weekend, and a very short Costco load that delivered at 0430 this morning, I have a decent load going to a Lowe's in Wichita, KS.

The nice miles will be tempered with this storm that will delay me by a day.
I'm in Des Moines, IA at the Love's and the snow had just started when I got here. It started earlier south of me and my options for parking are very limited in that direction so I stopped here.
Looks like tomorrow, between all the snow and 40mph winds, will be a sit and wait day.

I was able to drive this morning, although there was some fairly strong wind and a lot of blowing snow. The roads were mostly good.

The place I delivered to is closed weekends, but they made an exception and let me deliver on Saturday.
It was a load of salt going to a cheese factory. They had so many late trucks last week that they really needed it.
I lucked out, not having to sit on the load until Monday.

Back in my days of OTR, whenever I was around there I would always reserve a spot at the TA.
Just too iffy trying to park at the terminal, and I avoid parking on any city street.

Yup, it's time for a b-service.
Got here Wednesday evening and my appointment is 0700 Friday, so I have a day off.

My DM said to check in right when I got here in case I could get in tomorrow at some point, but I think I will just chill for the day and take my appointed time.
Get laundry done, clean up a bit inside the truck without having to worry about it going in before I am happy.

 

my b service appt is sunday. truck be on safety hold by tomorrow. so dl will have to get it removed friday and saturday so i can still work.
