Yesterday I had to start driving at 0500 to make a 0630 pickup. I hate starting that early.
I got there at 0610, and they tell me that the product is not ready. They are waiting on a shipment that should be in by 0730-1000, and then they can get it ready for me.
After nearly 5 hours I am told I can get loaded.
I had hoped to deliver that load the same day, but delivering that late in the day would make parking a problem so I decided to deliver the next morning. I had the delivery window, so...
I figured get it there at 0700 for a live unload, and I would have just enough time to pick up my next load at 1000, another live load about 45 miles away.

When I get to that delivery I am told that all the docks are full, but ours are always drops, and they had empties.
    So, that was nice.

I got to my next pickup, got loaded and out the door by 0930, 30 minutes before my appointment time.
They were quick, and that was nice.

I got to Hannibal, MO for my delivery about 2 hours earlier than the delivery window started. I didn't have a pplan yet, and I had hoped for a load right out of there. We do a lot out of that General Mills place.
Just as I was dropping my load a pplan came in, but not from there. It is picking up at the drop yard in St. Louis, IL going to OH.
Picks up today or tomorrow and delivers a little over 400 miles away the next day by 1300.
Plenty of time to stop at the closest Love's so I can get a shower, head out tomorrow morning and have plenty of time for delivery.

I just love when everything goes my way.

I tripped on a step (walking across the scale) this morning and tweaked my left knee pretty badly.
Then I fell again on the same knee as I was going back to my truck. I had to be helped up both times.

So I called in and was removed from this load.

I managed to get back in the truck, but I'm not sure about going down the steps. If I fall from that height something very bad might happen.

Careful, I fell off the truck twice and wound up in the emergency room both times.

It's along way down, especially at my age.

The swelling has increased over the day and I doubt I could actually walk on flat ground right now, much less step down from the truck.
It's hard just taking baby steps in the truck when I need to. I probably need a set of crutches.

My DM wants me to go to the doctor, but that is easier said then done.

Take an Uber to a med clinic or an emergency room That's what I'd in Somerset, PA the second time fell off the truck. Was laid up for 8 days. Couldn't move or eat for the first 3 days.

But if you go to a doctor, Swift may not let you drive again until you get a medical clearance and updating your med card.

Still have to climb down from the truck. And I don't intend to spend many days in a hospital.

I banged up my knee. It may take a few days of rest, but i am fine in the truck. So far.
I'll just use some of the sick hours I have built up over the years.

The thing is, there is not any discoloration, no breaks. It just got banged and twisted and swollen.
A doctor can't help with this. I would spend lots of money to have them tell me to stay off it for a few days, use a brace or crutches or something.

The knee is a little better this morning, and the swelling has gone down some.
I still can't put my weight on it without holding myself up on something, so I still can't get out of the truck or walk across the parking lot..

My DM arranged for another driver to swing by to get me some supplies. That was very nice of her. That driver called and said he would be here at around 1200.
