I always took those WY wind warnings seriously. Too many trucks end up in the ditch.

 

Yeah, when I was driving mail with 10 Roads Express night runs to Denver to SLC 2 years ago I'd always chain-up take slush on I-70 instead of wind and ice on I-80. I never slid on 70. But I slide twice on 80, once on ice and once on dry pavement.

 

jurupa valley ca.
got a 0600 delivery in the morning.
got to terminal around noon.
so came home to do some laundy and bought food for truck.
have hometime starting the 29, so that should last me till then

 

funny thing.. when i set nav for beaver it said 7hr and 40 minutes from denver terminal
said maybe in a four wheeler lol.
stopped beaver ut for fuel then saw i had time to get to cedar city. so fot there with about 30 minuts left on my 11.
could never get truck up to speed till after vail. had rain and strong wind passing san rafeal swell area

 

woodland ca.
picked this load up in moreno valley ca.
trailer air tank bracket on right side broke off the frame.
tech tied it up and i drove to jv terminal to get it rewelded back on.
was tgere about 4 hrs. so ended up last nite at my fuelstop in bakersfeild ca.
now waiting for another load. have hometime set fot next weekend

planners deadheaded me here to get near available loads.
came from red bluff ca.
made the delivery at walmart there and looking for an mty.
found one that trailer air tanks bracket broke off. d**m another one.
put a note about it and attached to electrical box.
sent mac 38 to let swift know and told the guy at the gatehouse too.
no loads yet

 

Lamesa tx. Had trouble getting fuel today.

just got off hometime( 4 days).
getting bored with this i5 south fleet. though i do get paid, too much deadheading back here..
so after talking to dl yesterday, i am on what they call the 311 fleet.
ca-or-wa-id-ut-nv are the states i be running in. be hauling general freight and still be able to run the hours i like to run in. no graveyard lol.

can drop this load anytime after 1100 tomorrow.
was gonna stop at loves in chehalis wa but was gonna have 30 minutes to spare and still had to get thru the traffic thru portland.
stopped at flying j in oakland or and looked like everyone stopped there at same time lol. all fuel lanes had 3 trucks in line and i was 4 th truck waoting on the street.
