I am still having my issues with Command. Haz-Mat load that paid me the same as Swift. From Ohio to Dallas. You can be sure that Swift got their cut of the actual rate.

Placed a nice post on our Facebook page. Want to see if anyone in PHX might just answer it or address it. Also about the fact that we can not even call in on MAC 30 loads for actual windows now.

Yet once you learn how Plus-1 works you can work around it to a great degree.

I can call my DM for actual windows.
Failing that (night and weekend people are sometimes not much help...) I simply put in the times that I want and let the system deal with it.

I have never felt mistreated because I adjust the times. Heck, many times I get a better load offer within minutes of turning down a load (or even several loads).

We may be a 'forced dispatch' company, but I have seldom been forced into a load.

Moose, I am pretty sure that I have been around long enough to know how to work the system. I was told just the other day when I called in to find out the windows on a pplan, was told that they can tell us anymore. There was a Memo that came out about 1 month ago. The issue is MAC 30. All that we se is date, time and weight, pu and del. No other info. Now call in, told that the time that is on the MAC 30 is the times that we have to accept. They are saying that if we accept the MAC 30 offer, it is the same as accepting a pplan. We can do a MAC 9 to adjust the time on a pplan, but not MAC 30.

And that's why I don't hesitate to turn down a Mac 30 load if the preplan info is different than the Mac 30 info.

I have read mentioned on several different threads of "Plus 1" and everyone's general distain for it. I have yet to find in a thread what Plus 1 is and why it is disliked. So I am asking the question here. What is it and why does everyone hate it? Thanks in advance for any and all replies.

Ahh some days I just want to find a boat ramp release the brakes.. 1st I pick this trailer up in Oklahoma city drop hook. It had 2 flat tires and a leaking brake chamber. 5 hr later it gets fixed. I was going to York, pa but has a stop in Bolingbrook IL. Get to Joplin and I have no trailer brakes so go to petro ext 4 . After 4 hr wait they find out that the petro in Oklahoma city did not install them right the brake chambers. So the fix it good , get to Bolingbrook unload . Then get to mm113 trailer tire that got replaced brand new one not the spare mount goes boom. 2 hours to get fixed make it to York, pa she said go ahead drop hook. But it is set as live unload so now have to msg them to hook the new trailer. And they said need name number that said that can drop and hook which I did send but they did not bother to read. God I be glad when my dm gets off vacation.

It's Swift program written by some jr high school wannabe programmers ... In theory it's supposed to match your available hours, where you are in the week and maximize the number of loads you can do in a week.

In practice it uses artificial delivery and p/u times that don't take into account the 14 hours clock, uses a one size fits all ability to move a load - ie it's designed to make sure the lowest moron keep moving, but hinders those that know what their doing and takes away the flexibility of a driver to maximize thier hours.

. Bingo! It caters to the lowest common denominator to in theory maximize the overall fleet to be more productive, but it isn't as smart as The mind of an experienced driver to allow the flexibility needed to do your job,ie...I'm thinking 1-2 days ahead with planning myself and it doesn't care,lol....also it pushes u around like you are an automaton....stupid little program and system....we used to have the windows to deliver the load and with plus one u only have what it thinks u can do it in....meaning no flexibility...and no ability to plan ahead if u like to keep moving fluidly...ie being human and using your own judgement to take breaks, sleep, plan for picking up your next load.honestly if there are two reasons I won't renew my lease or get a new lease with swift is plus one, also because of the time and hassle to get work done at a swift shop...time is money...two days wait is normal wait at a terminal to get work done....

    SteveH85396 and JOHNQPUBLIC Thank this.
