Yep over booked with lots of crap. Everything that I was getting offered was NW and plenty of time to deliver.

 

Still here and awoke this morning with a pplan to pu same place that deliver with it t-calling in PHX. Declined saying I want to see a back up getting out of PHX on a Saturday, and lo and behold, one sitting on the yard there going to Springfield, MO for Monday. NO weight on the pplan so I just know that it is heavy coming out of CA going to that mustard place.

 

Not crazy about the destination but I scored a sweet load today.
NE to Newark, NJ.
Total miles including mt is 1650, and it's less than 10k.
Picked it up around 1630 today (Friday) and it delivers at 1000 Monday.
1400 to go.

 

t/a in redding ca. left mira loma ca at 5am and stopped in castaic for coffee and say hi to a freind there. then drove to flying j in lodi ca for my 30 min break and a shower. have about 570 miles to final. try and make it there tomorrow afternoon. hopefully the loves there(tacoma wa) is not tooo full

 

At the TA in Commerce City, CO. Spent 5 1/2 hours getting unloaded. Would have been longer but I called the broker who called the customer who called the warehouse and must have said the right thing. Suddenly the very same person I spoke with at the 4 hour mark (who told me at least 2 more hours) calls and assigns me a door. Still barely made it here (on my 14) and got one of the last parking places.

Tomorrow I'm off to the K Mart RDC to pick up a load headed for Great Falls, MT.

 

Made it into Houston this afternoon just in time to hit rush hour traffic. Always exciting!! Set my 10 for a 4am drop in the morning at the terminal. Ran my car up to Pilot for a quick shower and some food.
Keyboard Monkeys sent me a heavy live load to p/u at Mead Vaco paper north of Beaumont in the morning with four days to deliver to Darlington SC with a live unload. A whole 1000 miles. Called my DM and told her I'm not touching that unless I can tcall somewhere like maybe Decatur GA. Load removed. Getting a load to upper Midwest would make me happier. We'll see.

Holbrook, AZ. Prewitt just made it to the top of my list to never go again. Went in this afternoon about 1250. Was told that not allowed to be there until 30 minutes before apt and was not even allowed to stay in staging area. So drove back up the road 5 miles and sat there. Returned and went to the staging area. Finally at 1630 was told go around back. What a mess. All flooded back there. Finally unloaded, go and get a mt weight and back to the shipping docks where sat another 1 hour. When I was reading the instructions it states right on there can show up 1 hour early for appt. SOB made me leave for 10 minutes. I was planning on getting this loaded and down to PHX tonight and get a fresh start in morning so not have to push. Guess that I am pushing now.

 

Are you going to be able to get a load out of there without any problems???

 

Swift has already tried to plan me on a load to Canada which I turned down.

I figure the I'll have to go to our drop yard in Butte to grab something.
