    Still working Target in PA.

I have a home time scheduled for the 18th in MN, so that may be the end of my Target duties.
I like the money, but I'm ready to go back to OTR. I miss the variety.

Dodge City, KS at the J. The nearest loads are 3 hours away and my DM sounded peeved when I called to have her check on a load leaving out from the receiver I was at this morning. If I can't get on broker program, I may have to hire a new DM or get a planner on speed dial.

Camped at a Loves on I-80 in Des Moines. Drop my bottles at Miller in Milwaukee in the morning.

When I got the dispatch for this live load of bottles I knew the address was wrong and that it would be their warehouse in Golden CO not Wheat Ridge. Four hours before appt I asked my DM to verify with CSR. She says just go to the addy on dispatch and well pay extra stop pay if it's wrong. I told her it IS wrong, I don't care about stop pay...I don't want to be wasting my time. I needed to get loaded, scaled and out of Denver before rush hour cuz I'll only have 4 left on my 14 at the 2:30pm appt.

And OF COURSE it was the wrong address but to make it even worse I was told to sit there until CSR straightened it out!! No answer an hour later so I called the terminal and said I'm leaving for Golden. I can't sit here waiting on some brain dead CSR any longer (CSR never did respond!!). Terminal said ok, leave.

Submitted the request for the stop pay today and get told we'll check on it. What the Fudge!! I'm only asking that you do what you said you would do. I tried to avert this and no one would listen. So frustrating.

Here in a old truck stop parking lot in Anna. Loves is a disaster and there is parking at the J but just did not feel like messing with it tonight. It has been a long day. The scales on I-10 where open this morning and I got pulled over along with 4 other trucks and one inspector. He got me for a air leak in the glad hands. He was cool about it. Told me spit on it, pull out the duct tape, what ever just so that he could see that I fixed and then place my self back in service. Get the customer about 2 hours later than I planned, then start to head up I-45 and it is closed in Huntsville. Semi hit a bridge. Finally was able to get off onto the frontage road, and this caused me to hit Dallas at rush hour. Lost 3 hours today. I was planning on being in Muskogee tonight. Have a pplan already to pick up in Jenks and down to McDonough for Friday.

Care to guess how many times I've called to ask for permission before turning down loads? I sent Brian another email about the broker program yesterday, still waiting for a response. sadly, it looks like I'll have to DH 3 hours to get the fark out of Dodge.

Finally back in the saddle after having 2 unscheduled days off in Martinsburg, WV due to a failed DEF pump.

At least it wasn't as bad as when I spent 5 days in Laredo getting my AC fixed...

    Glad you're back, though.

Leaving Rawlins, WY headed to SLC for a drop and hook, then grab a load headed to Victorville, CA. Unfortunately I-15 is closed through Arizona and much of Nevada. Going to add 77 miles working my way to US-95 and then south to hook back up to I-15 at mm 64 in Nevada. From the looks of it I-15 will be closed for a while due to flooding from tropical storm Norbert.

My trainee is making great strides during the "weaning" phase of team driving. I'm going to have him wake me up at Park City to monitor his descent of Parley and the drop and hook at our customer. His shifting is a 10 on a scale of 10 except for the occasional brain fart, but then don't or haven't we all had those moments.

Yesterday he got the brunt of heavy rain, wind, and lightening storms in Iowa and did just fine. He's a keeper.
