We had this problem a couple of weeks ago and truck was at the Fontana Kenworth for a week. We were told by a Swift mechanic that there was a recall, Kenworth said there wasn't one yet, and then yesterday my husband talked to Kenworth and they said there was no recall but it was a "fix as needed" situation......the problem is a ceramic something that exploded.....and the mechanics can only do things exactly as Cummins tells them to because of the warranty.

flying j thousand palms ca. while i was getting loaded(trailer not me unfortunately lolP) got a preplan. called dl and ask whats this. oh, he said, theey tcalling this load in mira loma and you taking this load to pheonix tomorrow. good, at least not sitting all weekend. so he said he accepted it for me without saying anything i needed to do xtra. i looked at the plan, and it said trailer needed to be safety inspected per target dc policy. called dl back and said wont be able to tcall load, find mt trailer, get mira loma shop to imnspect trailer, then head over to shipper by 1700. so he made a few calls and said they took load off. he said to go ahead and go to ira loma and he send a message to planners to get me another load. so after getting loaded in kingsburg, i headed out and got a message on the way saying tcall was cancelled. stopped at tulare again and asked whats up. he said they took load off. i knowbut why cancell tcall. he said not to worry, just head in. so got to fontana and talked to matt(my old dl) and asked him whats up with this load?.my dl went home already. he said i had to deliver it in pheonix. i said it doesnt till monday. he ended up calling pheonix and talked to planners there and said to head to pheonix, that they will get me into another truck or give me another load. have to be at truck assignment b4 1000 tomorrow whewn she goes home. bet its that same douchebag planner that i pissed off that gave me this preplan.

Just west of Memphis, TX, Picked up one heck of a wind. Sitting here in the rest area and getting blown all over. Woke this morning with a pplan, that was removed, home depot to OKC, 200 miles for tonight. Then a pplan, dh 150 miles to pryor to pu going to Detroit for Monday, 800 miles. Nope. Sent a msg to my DM and see what he could pull out of his hat, and got a Coppell, TX to Ogden then down to SLC and back to Dallas for Wednesday morning. Not really keen in this type of weather going across 80, twice, 30K going up and 25K coming back. I know that by the time that I get to the Denver area that storm will be gone.
Forgot to mention, was able to meet with innkeeper yesterday, and today, who did I see there, for you old times here, ZukimartLast edited: Mar 7, 2014
inkeper Thanks this. -
I was lucky. Mine was okay. There was a t700 after me. He got a b-service done and then they pulled his truck in and found that his bearings inside the pump where coming apart, so they had to drain all of the oil and start all over again. Turned into a 17 hour job.

NO MORE MAC 10!!!!!
Woooooo hooooo!!!!! -
I'm about 25 miles north of Plainview, TX where I drop a Walmart load tomorrow.
Then I'm on an mt trailer move all the way back to Golden, CO (510 miles) to await a load from Miller/Coors.
Some jerk of a flatbedder nearly ran me off the road tonight.
He passed me over a double yellow, then moved back to my lane before even half his trailer had cleared my front bumper. -
That is nice.
But what about doing both the Mac 32 and the QC post trips?
When is that going to end? -
its still annoying though that its kicking back messages to fill in hours of previous days...and agreed on the post trip, its a bit annoying.
Today was a fun day, took off from the dc and got about 35 miles out when a trailer tire blew on me, was the first blowout I ever had, guess I been very lucky. When I left the tires looked great so not sure what happened, called the dc and they said I could either bring it back or wait 2-3 hours for someone to come out so I went back to the dc and it took them about 30min to get me a new tire. When heading back out I got about the same distance to come into a complete stop on the 99, there was a truck overturned blocking all 3 lanes with hay all over, after sitting for awhile the chp had all lanes merging and directed us though an off ramp and cutting back into an on ramp going around the accident. This 2 hour round trip load going to Tulare ended up costing me almost 6 hours, got my 2nd load going to Livermore and decided to shut down at the store here, had a little over 2 hours left on my 14 and 11 left on the 8hr so figured I wasnt going to try and make a rest area after taking a 30. At least here I have decent free wifi and its nice and quiet, tomorrow only going to Grenada Hills which is around a 4.5 hour round trip so wont hurt to eat 4 hours heading back from here. -
pheonix terminal. forgot about the hour change here from pacific time. so was no way i couldve got here b4 1000 for truck assignment. so ended up sleeping in and drove here whewn i woke up. nice and warm here but was abit windy on the way. dont deliver till 1100 on monday, so i'll go over to the truck assignmwent shack when she opens.
