Doing a 10 at the Petro on I-57N in F'ingham IL. Will do a live unload in Ft Wayne IN in the morning. The receiver is a FCFS facility so hope the line is short to nonexistant. Did a Mac34 to let planners know I'll be unloading a day early. Need something heading to the southern AL area for 3 days of hometime starting Wednesday.

Had a 4-wheeler blow by me doing at least 100mph on I-55 north of W Memphis this morning. Was wondering where is a cop when you need one! Figured the driver might slam into the back of some other car and kill them. Low and behold about 5 miles later a Trooper had the guy in cuffs up against his Cruiser and another LEO was coming on the horizon. Justice...finally!!

Yeah I think it's a 2014 Phoenix she said they don't quite have 2015 yet.....I'm curious how it looks too....I'm about 90% sure about swapping out trucks and about staying with swift....want to talk to het about a one or two year lease tho....I just wasn't prepared yet to go to another company ....have about a week to go....it's a big commitment and at least I know a lot more about what I'm in for.....just want to work a better plan than I had four years ago....which was no plan.....I have retirement to think about.....

I delivered a load to the Walmart DC at 2200 and lucked out with a truck stop .4 miles away on a back road. It still has spaces.

I pushed my DEF a bit far this time. The light started flashing 2 miles from my fuel stop.

TA in Concordia, MO. I started my day at a little before 2:00 am in Marion, IL with six hours on my 70. Running at night through all the construction zones and through St. Louis was a breeze, cruise control almost the entire way. I arrived shortly after 8:00 am and plan to stay here until 2:00 am to continue on to either t-call this load in Edwardsville or stay there until this load delivery window opens at 3:00 pm tomorrow.

I LOVE to run vampire, especially if having to go through metropolitan areas. Yesterday I had a full clock starting from Charlotte, NC and made it to the Pilot in Marion, IL at about 4:00 pm and got the LAST parking spot available. Today with short hours I finished my day when those that are afraid of the boogeyman had emptied out the lot and got a great spot in front of the main building, just a short walk to the restrooms and restaurant.

I have home time requested for Jurupa Valley, and hope that Edwardsville doesn't hold me up like last time. Need some days at home to hug my honey and take care of business (car registration, etc.) then get another trainee and start another month on the road.

It's a nice thing to have the week or so after upgrading a trainee to get back to the terminal running solo again. I get to sleep in a parked truck with the top bunk locked upright, so it seems like a lot more space.

Now that this '15 T-680 has a tad over 50,000 miles on it the engine seems to be running more efficiently. My average fuel mileage is creeping toward the high 8's, even with all the heavy hauls I've been doing.

    HousTank and fr8monkey Thank this.

Taking LONG break at a Peelot in Ft Wayne IN.

Went to to deliver my load around 6am ET and found that receiver was closed weekends. My DM and I specifically asked the CSR about this and we were told on speakerphone cust was open 24/7 accepting FCFS deliveries from 23:00 - 13:30 each day. So I humped it to get here ASAP to get turned around for hometime starting Wednesday in Mobile AL. Now I'll be sitting here till tonight. I guess I'll get caught up on sleep.

Mobile's only 13hrs from here so depending on my next load there's still a chance I'll get there on time.
