bakerfeild ca. del that load to walgreens in moreno valley. then was sent to a forklift place in banning ca to p/u 2 palletts of copper chips. another driver got overweight at banning scales. this forklift place escort drivers and helps with reworking or pulling off pallets at his location then escorts them back to scales. so took this to fontana at a recycling place. took a little over 2 hrs to unload me. other driver was already there. then was sent to jurupa valley to p/u load and tcall at terminal. today p/u load at terminal and drove here. 2 other trucks and one of them just left. bales of cotton to be unloaded

Lepton...it's about time they started taking care of you. Hopefully the Mountain will stay quiet while you're there.

Taking my my break at a Peelot in Lugnut SC.

Dropped my load to Walmart DC in Pageland SC before lunch and drove back roads down to Lugoff to p/u my Target load to Indianapolis. Get there to find an O/O and his student took MY load. Arrrgh!!
Got on the phone with my DM and this guy isn't dispatched on this load, neither him nor his student checked the trip number on the paperwork or the delivery time...Target didn't check either, just gave it to him. DM says he's bringing it back and to call to swap trailers. I call this guy..and I generally try not to judge people...but after talking to him I came to the conclusion he's an idiot. He didn't know he had the wrong load, wasn't coming back and couldn't tell me where he even was in NC. Slurring his words like he's on drugs or something. I ended up just hanging up. I feel sorry for his student.

Planners are now supposed to remove it from me and dispatch me on the load he was SUPPOSED to p/u. About the same weight and delivers to the same place but a day earlier. I can handle that. Just another day OTR!!

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

Dropped my Kohls load early this morning in Littleton and snagged a sweet can load from RMMC to Milwaukee. Taking ten in Grand Island, NE before I run the rest out tomorrow, then getting in 34 before I deliver it Monday.

I LOVE those RMCC loads. All the ones I've hauled went to Miller in Ft Worth.

Things for me have taken a slight turn for the worse. Swift cancelled the Target load from Lugnutt to Indy. THEN send me a load to DH 600 miles to Cleveland to move circus lions 1.5hrs to Toledo. I've hauled Ringling Bros lions a few times, was pretty fun to hear them growling at fuel stops and always drew a crowd. An hour later someone came to their senses and removed that load too. Oh well.

Mac30 is dry so now I sit in Lugoff on a Friday night with nothing...for the time being.
The upside is they have a DQ here so I can get a new Pumpkin Pie Blizzard. I guess that's an upside.

I delivered to this same location last weekend. Make sure you plug in the recommended address for final destination on the Qualcomm in the notes section of the load assignment. Helpful if you study the final destination by Google satellite view as well, as it's a little tricky getting in there if you aren't familiar with the location.

One more thing, when you go out to the outer yard to pick up an empty be sure you pick up an empty!!! There are several Swift trailers out there that don't have locks on them, but they are full of cans. It's a pity, they're real nice trailers.

Well if he's going to a location with a drop, that would make 3 different locations in Milwaukee ... the 2 I've gone 2 were both live unload.

At home after getting my ##### kicked running around SoCal for the last week.

I thought I'd be doing round trips from Phoenix to the SoCal ports and back. In reality I spend the week playing a SoCal regoinal driver.

Mac30 was dry here in Lugnut but it turns out the Planners still had some loads in their pocket.

Got a double stack late last night. First was a 2hr hop up to Concord NC to live load a very light batch of stuff going to Columbus OH. That will make the run thru the mountains on I-77/64 into southern OH pretty enjoyable. As soon as I drop run a few miles to the terminal to P/U a tcall going to southern WI for a live unload early Monday so I'll get to keep that nice 15series trailer the loads on.

These two set me up pretty good to score another 3000+ mile week..still on recaps. I'm glad that tool stole my load from Target now!!

Taking a break at the Columbus terminal.

Finished my load from NC to the Walmart DC down the road. Pretty good drive through the mountains with only 7K in the trailer. Heading for WI in the morning.

Talked to Swifty from Greer last nite at the Loves I was at in SC. He had been with Swift for 7 months and hasn't been off the East coast or west of the Appalachians yet!! He was upset about short loads plus he was sitting there with no load for 18 hours. I didn't have the heart to tell him I had two loads given to me 30 mins earlier. I tried to give him some pointers but in reality he had no real clue on how Swift works, the culture, how to get proactive etc etc. I suspect his mentor used him as a paycheck and really didn't train him about the Company side. I left a few hours later while he was snoozing.
