Well, I sure didn't get much sleep today.

QC kept interrupting what little sleep I might have gotten from people in CSR and my DM wanting more details.
Lowe's was saying it was my fault.

So I delivered the load when I said I would and then set my PTA for tomorrow morning so I could get some proper rest.

    Happy 13th...

At the San Antonio Petro on the 411 Loop. Drop at the brokers in Laredo in the morning.

Wont be in Laredo long enough to even smell a burrito. Snagged a 1200 mile JIT-Hazmat load picking up at the terminal taking me right back to IL. After a rocky start after home time the week is getting better. This hazmat load will take me to 2600 miles for Sunday morning. With a little luck I might hit 3600 by Wednesday cutoff.

    Moose...that sux!!

Good to hear that you're having a good week, though.

Me, I'll be lucky to come away with zero $$$ for this week after child support and child support and health and... I'm glad last week was better as it will keep me going until next week.

Just one of those circumstances that hose me, from time to time.
We all have them, I'm sure.

It is frustrating, but it does not really bother me that much.
These things happen, and I simply go with the flow.

Taking a 10 at the Wildhorse Casino truck parking lot, the Arrowhead Travel Plaza lot was full.

18ºF and falling. Snowing about an inch an hour with six inches on the ground when we arrived.

Came from Winnemucca, Nevada this morning up US-95 to Caldwell, then west on I-84. Chains required from La Grande all the way to Pendleton.

Cabbage Hill was fine, except for the last two miles. Then the right lane was bumper to bumper trucks going 3-5 mph and the hammer lane wasn't much better (5-10 mph).

We wasted 30 minutes at the Travel Plaza trying to find a place to park before we could get back out of there and head up the road to the casino truck parking. Another driver came in and parked right next to us, just after us. He said he just finished Cabbage Hill and came directly to the casino lot, and just avoided a bad situation with three potato trucks jackknifing in front of him trying to slow down for the "choo-choo train" of trucks at the bottom.

It's a good idea to keep the CB on in these conditions. We knew about the choo-choo train thirty minutes before we got there.

The good news is we have another load stacked on us. The bad news is we are headed to Denver, through Montana and Wyoming. By the time we get there my trainee will likely have 50 hours and I'll need a B service.

I thought Autosocks were only legal in Colorado.

At the Petro in Cheney, WA; waiting for a trailer tire to be repaired. Looks like we picked up a broken chain in the tread.

Once we finish the repair we will do our drop at the drop yard in Spokane and pick up a drop and hook headed to Denver. Hopefully the roads will be in good shape along the way, but chaining is always an option.
