Good Night From II

At the Petro in Jackson MS. On my way to Ft Worth but load doesn't drop till Friday afternoon..I'll be there before lunch tomorrow so I get to sit. Was given this load and told "this will keep you running over the holiday". Their idea of "running" and mine are very different. Gonna go hang at Lancaster and watch ball games. Hoping that Joe or the Ladies are going to bring some food in.

Lost my HiVal load to Denver too. Customer changed p/u and delivery dates. Plus I was notified that a B-Serv is due after this load not to mention SIMS. If I don't find something on mac30 I'll be at the mercy of the Lancaster planners. Now with this other stuff needing to be done I may not get out of Lancaster till Monday or Tuesday. This week is a total bust.

 

At a Petro near the Iowa and IN line on I-70.

Dropped of the t-call in Columbus around noon and had a plan very quickly.
I'm headed for MO with a load of beer.
It's less than 400 miles and doesn't deliver until 1115 on the 28th. But at least I have something to do.

I could either spend Thanksgiving here and start driving at 0430 Friday morning to make my delivery, or drive a couple hundred miles tomorrow to get me a bit closer.
I haven't decided yet, but I'm leaning towards driving to the Petro in Effingham, IL tomorrow to check out their buffet.

My home time is set for 12/1 in MN.
Let's see how good they get me there on time, after the new media message that came through today about home time.
I'll be in the right area, anyway, to get me there on time.

 

Yep, ###### garrisons are a pain. It took two days to max my DK, working on my monk and warlock now.

Been gone for awhile, been working a lot and not getting on forums much, spending my day off right now and waiting to find out if I will be off for Thanksgiving. The planner told me he was told it might only be 3 loads going out tomorrow but wont know until he gets the schedule in a couple hours.
I am hoping to be off, we got a sexy couple wanting to come over I havent seen since our anniversary

 

had me pick up a load here at jv terminal going to calgot in bakersfeild. took me 2 freaking hours to find the trailer. ended up being inside the trailer shop. i had made 2 traip around the whole terminal and walked another lap around the new parking area since it was a real mess. also got the yarddog involved and he even looked in the walmart area. finally he saw it at the shop. i had looked there but not on that side. thought there were only one trailer per bay. so only did this one trip since it was getting late. dwecided to stay here for the nite and go to the desert campsite tomorrow. buddy said to be at his house around 9 so we can leave early. lol

 

I talked to Joe today(well yesterday actually), he will be there about 1100 with turkey and all the trimmings.

 

I saw Joe today, I forgot to ask if they were going to be here for Thanksgiving. It would be nice to get some decent food today.

 

Oh darn..just my luck. I got to thinking about what Moose said about going to another Petro for the buffet and started looking for another Petro close to Ft Worth. Closest is Weatherford and a T/A in Denton..both too far so I decided to stay here for the dinner. Will roll to Ft Worth tonight and stay at Cabellas for my 10 before I drop tomorrow.

I just couldnt handle hanging out at Lancaster without some good food for Thanksgiving and y'all say Joe will be setting up. Oh well...I like his food too. On the bright side I won't have to deal with traffic in Ft Worth getting to my drop after lunch. It's an hour from Lancaster, only a few minutes from Cabellas.

 

We know what Wolfy's thankful for. I don't expect any on Turkey day, let's drink too much wine and eat too much, and end up in a comatose heap. Happy Steve is home cooking the Turkey, I made pies yesterday. Hope you are all safe and well.
