Kinda figured you did ... but I read it like you were happy about scoring a newer trailer ... reader bias.

At Little America in Flagstaff AZ.

Will deliver in Victorville CA sometime in the morning. No real rush as the delivery window runs to the 9th and I'll be four days early. Have no idea what's next but I want to go back east if possible. Do not want to go into LA if I can help it. Have never had a good experience there.

I ALWAYS take advantage of the Little America shower rooms. They are the best in the country!
Floating in that big bathtub always helps by back.

And $10 bucks is also the cheapest.

I love it when I can stop at Little America and pay for it.

Ask for an Ambest rewards card ... they used to give you a free shower with the card when you got one.

I've never been that impressed with the showers at most of the AmBest places I've been.
Besides, we don't fuel there. One shower is not enough incentive to carry around yet another card in my wallet.

Need to up your game ... Last 3 times I went to the original LA, just showed them my card and they handed me a shower key ... I don't fuel at Pilot/Flying J, but I get a free shower about every other time when I go there.

I know they have left me a few voicemails recently about me being eligible to lease bla bla, talking to the O/O's on the fleet they sign a contract yearly and the lowest rate is 92cpm I believe the driver told me plus the fuel surcharges and with the DC EVERY mile is loaded round trip even on empty trailers. I kinda am interested in getting a used truck not a brand new lease, one of the O/O's I talk to often did that getting a 2012 freightliner last year.

For the first time this week I made it to shut down at the DC, made it from that rest area back to the DC then all the way to Salinas and back for a 606 mile day, every single day has been 550+ this week. Tomorrow got a pretty easy day though going to Turlock then picking up a Conagra on the way back, might make it home for even a late dinner.

The planners were playing the old bait and switch witm me over the holidays. Saved a late load, wasn't scaled, for one of them buggers while up in Syracuse. I took it because it was originally backed with a sweet run from NY to Phoenix, not because it was a JIT load of applesauce headed for a dollar tree DC. Lol.

Wouldn't you know it right after I scaled the load, adjusted the tandems and got rolling on this 100 mile clunker the Phoenix load was yanked. I should have seen that coming.

At Jonestown, just about to leave to deliver this (should be a daycab delivery) 130 miler to Newark. Good times. Good times.

That generally happens because of a change in ship/receive dates. Rather than modify the current load, they cancel it and re-enter it as a new trip with the new info. Or, it could be that the transit time was shortened to the point it needed a team truck to get it there on time.

It sure feels like a bait and switch, but I'd be very surprised if that was the case.
