Mira Loma - woo hoo.
My QC has been acting up since yesterday, and today I had no power to the unit at all.
Except, I could still hear Jill talking.
When it was acting up yesterday I had unplugged a few cables to get a reboot.
I did it a couple times, with various cables since it didn't seem to be helping.
The last time I had unplugged just about everything and let it sit for 15 minutes before plugging everything back in.
Well, stupid me plugs one back in to the wrong port. (looks like an Ethernet port, and there are 2 of them. It needs to be in the top socket) It was that one that caused the top unit not to power on.
Brought in here, and the tech looks at it, switches the port, and everything is working again.
It had all my duty lines correct, with locations. All my messages were there as well.
I never realized that everything is stored in the little black box under the bunk. I'm sure glad it is, though. -
Whenever I get a preplan like that anymore I simply phone my DM and ask for the actual shipping windows. It's easier and faster than running through the automated Mac-9 game. I'll get a message back from the DM that the window is wide open and I won't be assessed a service failure, then just accept the load "as is". Get's the ball rolling a lot faster.Moosetek13 Thanks this.

Hooks, TX. Woke this morning and the load to Laredo was pulled for some reason. Who knows. Got a 2200 pound load to VA for Monday morning. Right now, 9mpg. Took almost 6 hours to find a mt. Sent to the north of Ft Worth, Radio Shack and they were not releasing, then back south to Mothers Teas, 4 miles from where I was parked, not releasing, then sent directions to pu mt at central line, in HOUSTON, then was asked, could I just drive 40 miles to the terminal and see if they have one, and then sent to Central in Irving. Luckily the guy in Lancaster felt sorry for me. He saw that I was running all around trying to get a mt, so he released one to me. They only had probably close to 100 trailers there, but they have to keep many in pool because of a customer, and they are getting many ready for the UPS push in August.
I am going to hate getting to VA. One week until home time, so I know that that will mean. Short loads on the East Coast and maybe some in the Midwest. Also, sure glad that I looked up my delivery on Google Earth. It showed a farm road with some houses. Looked at the bills, different street number than on the dispatch. It is supposed to be 359, not 395Last edited: Mar 14, 2014

Exactly so.
My current plan has me picking up at 2300 tonight, but I won't finish a 10 by then - even if I could get any sleep after starting at 0600 this morning.
And this was originally pplanned to pick up yesterday at 1600.
It, however, is a border load going into Mexico. It won't leave Calexico, CA until Monday.
I called my DM and he basically said to pick it up whenever I want, as long as it there by Sunday sometime.
And loads that pick up before you get the pplan, same deal.
Call your DM to get the true windows, and to find out if you need to send mac 22's or adjust the times via mac 9. (if anything. many times you will be told to pick up and deliver ASAP while staying safe - which means you make your own schedule) -
At the Pilot in Brookyn, IA. Made it here with 17 mins on m 70. Headed to Shafter, CA (next to the Target DC) for a Tuesday delivery. Will make for the second good week in a row, BOUT TIME!

I get really sick of customers telling me I CANNOT take Swift property. To date I've "stolen" 2 trailers. What are they gonna do, call the cops? If Swift tells me to take an MT and dispatches me with it I'm taking it no matter what the "customer" says.
Obviously this won't work at a location (like the Target DC in Pueblo) where Swift controls the trailers. -
I could understand Mothers Tea. It is in the contract that they have to have at least 1 empty trailer there, just so that they can do drop and hook. Radio shack, I was even told what mt to take, but then, you have to get out of the gate. Can not wait until our DM gets back. I was told that I will get paid for all of this BS today. Ohh, it will also not work at the Target DC in OH. Dropped a ldd trailer one day and counted over 10 mt trailers, and they would not let me take one.
