Total bummer that Lepton didn't end up on Phx as Steve is home while his Cascadia is in the shop.

At the T/A in OKC on I-40. Thought, for a few minutes, about staying at the terminal up the street..then came to my senses and stayed here.

My "drop" in KC this morning ended up being a live unload. They were pretty quick so no harm done. Another Swifty showed up an hour early for his appt and they wouldn't even let him in the gate.

My next shipper was only a few miles away but the preloaded trailer wasn't supposed to be ready till 6pm and I drove in at 11:30a to check on it. Figured I had a 50/50 chance of it being ready. Lucky me since it was. They were actually pretty happy I came in early as they didn't have any empties and had more loads to prep. Win/Win for everyone. 30 minutes later I was gone so I was able to salvage 6 hours of drive time towards Amarillo and will have the time now to get there and set my 10 prior to getting unloaded. Going hunting on mac30 in the morning to hopefully line something up to get right back out.

Guessing you know the store? Everyone enters where the Autozone is then we go into the food4less parking lot to make a uturn then come back around for the blind. Myself I used to go halfway through the dock and be able to setup for a hindsight which some dont believe it can be done and keeps doing the blinds. With that 53 foot storage trailer though it cant be done my way.

Yes I did see you. I was standing there in the area outside the desk shop I wouldn't fall asleep lol. I heard you tell the guy at the desk what happened and I was going to say hi but I was so tired I don't think I could make a whole sentence at that point. Slept 11 hours last night, I never do that. Now to just hope my truck is ready so I can hit the road.

Central trucks don't have the option to lower airbags according to the shop. I'll try that cruise control thingie to get it to idle. It does come with optimized-idle, I got that to work. I really hope I'm not in this truck long. I'm not planning to unpack everything. Just enough to function.

Chillin at the T/A here in London. Well, guess plans have changed some again for me. Was talking to IEL this morning and asked about that so called company policy about seeing previous maint records when purchasing a truck in the buy out program and was told, when doing this and they are refurbishing it then yes, can not see previous maint records. So then decided to just get a short term lease which will get me a 2014 of my choice for 2 years or a 2013 for 1 year. Going to go with the 2 year since this is when retiring.

yup been there a couple times and our docks next to the compactor is tighter than the vendor docks, hate that store, its Van Nuys your talking about, there are 2 van nuys stores the other being a lot easier using the street to back in.

At Edwardsville waiting to get into the shop ... again. Wish I knew the secret to getting a new truck, this one's got shop issues almost every other week. So far, since September, I've had a bad thermostat, a gummed up Webasto, bad vibration sensors on the regen unit, and now a dead heater fan. Been trying to get qualified to lease, but with all this it's hard to get the miles up.

By the way, for those who don't know, the Webasto heater will gum up and quit after a while if it is no shut down with the heater controls before releasing the parking break. Just FYI.

Pulled a complete idiot move on a tcall today as well. It seems that I spaced that I need a "legal" scale ticket to tcall. I have a habit of getting the one ticket and making my adjustments so I can roll. After all DOT is going to scale u on their scales any way. I know I was legal, the guy at the window knew I was legal too but refused the tcall. My truck is already on shop status so I can't leave with a load. I suppose the load will stay on me, I just hope that it gets fixed so I can deliver on time. I can really be a bonehead when I really work at it.
