Scale directions will be in your special comments. When you leave the customer, turn right, cross the bridge, and the scale is by the cenex that will be on your left.
Lepton1 Thanks this. -
Crap breaks ... just decided to all break at the same time. Turbo actuator started acting up and was trying to limp home to get it taken care of, when the cam started to fail ... conveniently occurred near Phoenix ... found the secret on site wizards in Phoenix ... turbo was done in one day, but have to wait for Monday to get the cam.

Parked in one of the bays at the TA in Buttonwillow, had an air leak where it was dropping into the red when I shut the truck off for a couple minutes, they dont have the part but will go get it in the morning as soon as Freightliner in Bakersfield opens. The guy in the shop was cool and gave me a free shower while they were looking for the leak so I went and got a shower then dinner at their diner. Came back to be told I had to sit overnight and he asked if I would be able to sleep inside the shop since the truck cant build air to move without the part on it and I said sure, he then gave me a card to get a free breakfast in the morning and another shower credit and told me I can eat whatever I want.

Reporting from Pasig. Two more nights here and then a 7 hour bus ride up into the mountains to a resort area in Bagiou. There we will be spending 5 days and 4 nights and then back here to Pasig where I will be for 2 weeks with Joy. My last piece of luggage finally found its way here today. Luckily there was nothing in the missing piece that I really needed. Today we went to the super mall here. She took me do a well know hair salon here. So I had my fair cut which was needed an some how it was the owner of the place that took care of me. Also while their I ended up with a manicure and pedicure and a foot and back and neck massage. All for the small price of $40. Along the way we had to stop at Payless Shoe. I wore here for the first time some brand new shoe that where purchased for me long time ago. They lasted all of 3 days. The heel was falling off along with the sole. Purchased 2 nice leather pair for the grand total of $80. Dexter's and they are so comfortable. Cigs here are cheap. My Pall Malls are $1/pack and they even have the pinch filter for more menthol and her Marlboro Black Menthol are $1.50/pack. She smokes more of mine then her own and she is now switching to my brand to save money. Tonight went to a nice place for dinner. You walk out back to the seafood stalls and look and purchase what you want and then it is brought back in and they take care of cooking. Tonight was about 3 dozen large shrimp and mussels and a fish soup and some kind of squid. First time that I had squid and not bad. Just too chewy for me. Total bill was about $25. There is one thing that I learned her tonight and the reason that I have her look at the bill. Service charge. If there is one, then no tip. None then tip. There is one thing that I learned many years ago when visiting Asia, if you are with a lady, have her go over the bill and they will make sure that it is correct.
Innkeeper, just for you. If you want to meet and talk to Mr. Walker here, $21/litre. Everyone, have a great day and stay safe. In 3 days I will be horseback riding in the mountains.Last edited: Feb 1, 2015

This Worland load is turning into a series of challenges. Had a little over 1/2 tank of fuel in Casper and they refused to open up for any fuel at the Flying J, the only show in town. Fuel route has me fueling in Rawlins after the Worland load, which means added miles. I'd rather run the 789, 287, 28, then 191 to Rock Springs (which happens to be the shortest route and what the load is paying).
Meanwhile the snow made for a few slick sections from Casper to Worland, but most of the way was dry. I noticed north of Shoshoni in the canyon there were 14' tunnels...
... and when I arrive I find that my load is in a 14' trailer!!??? WTF???
Can't run south at all. Can't run east on US-14 or US-16 because of the elevation restrictions (air bags will expand and damage the cans) leaving the only possible route north to Billings then east and south to Casper, etc.
I'm waiting until 7:00 am, when the morning shift gets here so they can unload the 14' trailer and reload it in a 13'6" trailer. Sent the Mac-22, sent the *CSR noting they should NOT have 14' trailers here (I don't know HOW it got here unless from the north).
I'll need to take a split 8 and start running again at 11:00 am. If all goes well I'll still be able to make it to Little America for the Super Bowl AND run during the daytime to see the scenery. -
Well, the morning crew said they "always load 14' trailers for California". Didn't know what route they take. Had a long conversation with my weekend TM and he looked through the last half dozen 14' trailers coming from this customer to Commerce City, and they all routed down US-20 through the 14' tunnel. I decided to go ahead and hook to the beast and take a rip, waiting for my split 8 to finish and I should still make it to Little America for the Super Bowl.

wow. I didn't even know we had 14' trls. Are they labeled as such?

When I was OTR I only had a couple 14 footers but I remained western regional so it was not an issue.
Truck finally finished a little over a hour ago, went and found a spot to park and went in for my free meal and got the steak I originally wanted last night, at least I didnt take advantage and get the 1`lb tbone. Load isnt scheduled for Vegas until 15:15 so going to take a nap since I did not sleep the greatest in the shop and told the planner just to call me if it cuts early so I dont start my clock heading back to the dc. With Vegas runs I try to start with as much time on the clock as I can to make it back, sometimes it gets down to just minutes left when I return.
