Kalispell Mt. Took a 34, grabbed a hotel in Polson on the lake. Not too shabby.

Holed up at the J in Casper. All the roads going out of town are closed.
My deliveries have been rescheduled for tomorrow morning, and things should be cleared up by then.
I'm really glad I stopped here. There is a Walmart right behind me, just a short walk up the hill. -
A Flying J with a shower and access to a Wal-Mart ... except for the fact that you're up to your butt in snow, you're in heaven.Moosetek13 Thanks this.

Lot's of truck parking behind the Walmart and Sam's Club back down by the freeway. I've taken a 10 there more than once. If there's a lot of snow and the parking lot gets slick then all bets are off getting back out of there...
I'm at the Dove Creek Suprette (next to the Sinclair) in Dove Creek, CO. I started at 2:00 am from Salina, UT on my way to Albuquerque with 5:30 on my 70 this morning. Surprisingly the snow storm seems to have largely bypassed this region. Had a spit of snow shortly after leaving Salina toward Green River, then stars and a bright moon lighting up the Grand Staircase of the Escalante.
I stopped in The Hole In The Rock rest area on US-191 in the predawn hours to take a rest. After the sun came up I realized what a special rest area that is, beautiful sandstone cliffs surrounding it. I'll need to take a 10 there sometime.
Tonight after midnight I get underway with 11 hours coming back, make my live unload in Albuquerque and then pick up a t-call in the terminal and start heading to Industry, CA.
Overall the last few weeks I've run my favorite regions through the Rockies and Pacific Northwest. I'm happy, although I must say that other than last October it's been mild out here. -
P.S..... I missed my turn into the Dove Creek Suprette and went another block and took a left into an abandoned business parking lot. Temperature was about 30ºF and as I was initiating my jackknife turnaround I thought to myself, "No problem, that ground just past the concrete should be frozen."
Wrong.
First time I've ever had to throw iron to get myself out of mud. I was NOT going to call OnRoad to get towed out of there. -
I'm not about to give up my spot at the J.
I-25 is still closed between here and Sheridan and both deliveries have been rescheduled for tomorrow.
I'll just take a day off and enjoy the snow.
I climbed up the hill to Walmart, and almost couldn't make it up the last 20 feet or so. It got steeper and slicker.
I walked around the long way to get back.
It's only 8 degrees, but it felt much warmer. I was fine in my lined shirt and jeans, with no gloves.
It was lucky this Walmart is here, especially for my ex-wife. I needed to send her some money today so she could pay her rent, and sending it tomorrow would have cost an extra $100 in late fees. Plus my bp meds ran out yesterday and I needed a refill.
A nice salmon and baked potato dinner will be nice as well. -
Loves in Edmond, OK for ten, will try for Albuquerque tomorrow

Dead headed from Vernon TX to Albuquerque for a load, has a delivery in town tomorrow morning, but will final in Las Vegas. Already got my dogs a hotel stay booked for the weekend races...and a little poker. :^D
Get this guys...some driver dropped off this trailer at the Albuquerque terminal, scanned the bills, then left with the bills. Little things like that...thanks! Well, at least I left a terminal with my bumper still attached. -
Are you sure he dropped a loaded trailer?
Many times I will drop my mt, scan my bills, then leave on home time.
And since we keep the original paperwork, I leave with them as well.
