Lowes store in Lawton OK. They couldn't unload me early but said I could arrive back into dock 1 and spend the night. Got here about 10:30 am so spent a leisurely day. Hit the nearby Harbor Freight and was glad my truck wasn't close or I'd have spent my next paycheck. Enjoyed the Chinese buffet. Excellent sushi albeit not the "fancy" sushi at a Japanese establishment. Will sleep and get back at it in the morning.

TA in Wapakoneta Ohio. Accident cost me an hour and half but still tracking on time. Got a call from planner to take a jit load from canton to somewhere in Illinois for freightliner and the usual promise to get me something good from there. Seems someone else already missed the appt and it had just barely enough time to male the delivery. And woke up after 5 hours sleep freezing. 39 out but bunk heater just crapped out.

Back in the truck after an afternoon at Boondocks Fun Center with my ex-wife and younger daughters.
We love that place.
This was the first time the girls were tall enough to go single in the race cars. They loved it, and 13 year old Leann won a couple of the races.
I got my rear kicked by my 13 year old in racing, and by my ex at bowling. She 'lucked out' with 2 strikes, leaving me far behind.
Although at Laser Tag, me and our 11 year old ruled. The place was so empty that the 4 of us were the only players.
During our meal in the restaurant Lorelei's (the 11 year old) drink cup split down the middle and she had to get a replacement.
At the end of the meal Leah gave her the comment card to fill out - I think as a joke, but Lorelei took it seriously.
She considered every question and checked her response. In the comments section she wrote... fix the durability of the kids drink cup.
Her exact words!
We all got a good laugh at that one.
It's a great place to go when I'm low on money, or any time.scottied67, inkeper, Cjh_army and 3 others Thank this. -
Weird day. Shut down at a small ExxonMobil somewhere off I 45 tween Big D and hades.....er Houston Tx. Deliver in New Caney in the morning.
The Lowes guys unloaded me before I slept last night but left me standing outside the backdoor with the paperwork for 40 minutes. Dunno what was worse them continuing to tell me just a minute or me buying that for 40 of them. Finally walked all the way round front and stalked a manager to autograph. Took a load from Lawton tcall for OKC terminal. 87 miles. The next pplan baffled this newbie. From a business in OKC to same business in OKC paying a whopping ONE loaded mile. When I turned in the tcall paperwork the lady explained they wanted me to bring an empty from the terminal to the business to replace one with oil on the floor. I headed for the truck and free formed my DM literally inquiring if I missed the memo we moved April Fool's day. They were going to pay me 33 CENTS for what would have amounted to an hours work. DM had my back and got me this load.
Huge mistake by me thinking I could get through Dallas in the late afternoon unscathed. Thus the reason I'm here and not at a TS I have shower credits. They sent me three pplans before I stopped for the night. Still so new I didn't realize they wanted me to take the first (bad) and then choose one of the remaining two (both better). I'll see if we get it figured out in the morning.

The short trailer move would pay $25-50 for the short load, not the loaded miles. You should have been told.
There was one shipper that refused a trailer for the same reason. It wasn't oil, it was varnish at the tail end of the trailer to protect the floor.
When you get stacked plans like that, look at the delivery of the first compared to the pick up of the second (or third). That might give some clue as to what they are thinking if they don't explain it with an additional message.
A call to your DM would be wise, just for clarification, before you respond to any of them.
After 4 years I still get confused by some of the things the planners do.OceanDan Thanks this. -
You mean like the load I got with a final in Tijuana and a tcall in Mexico City ...OceanDan, Kindle and Moosetek13 Thank this.

Here in Otay Mesa. What started as a good day turned to crap as far as mpg once hit Tejon. Was up to 8.1 and by the time that arrived here down to 6.7. These hills kicked my butt. While taking a 30 was talking to Steve and did a Mac 30 and nothing. Then Steve reminded me what he was told my Frank, not need to wait the 1 hour so did another one in 20 minutes and snagged a nice 2300 mile load from Fontana to Valdosta, GA for Tues. All of 10K. Need that type of load and if play it right can snag a short one for Wednesday and end the week with about 3300 miles.

Albuquerque terminal, check engine light for a bad NOX sensor, have to get the EGR cooler checked tomorrow before I can leave.

Nice one one that's something I need also. Sitting here in Lancaster term. Just did my sim class. Now the only load they tried giving me was to Omaha delivering on Monday am 678 miles away. -
Amen to not waiting 1 hour to send another Mac-30. I usually inundate the system about every 5-10 minutes. Methinks the planners can see this activity, because they'll either populate the Mac-30 with some loads or send me a preplan offer to shut me up.OceanDan Thanks this.
