Get used to the sound of bad porno flicks.

It seems that Swift either attempts to replace the windshields themselves or hires out to low budget windshield operations. In the two years I've been with Swift I've had five windshields replaced, and EVERY time there's a banshee screaming afterward. I've gone through several tubes of sealant to try and fix some of them, but ultimately it's not worth the effort.

Taking a 10+ in Gallup, NM. This load delivers day AFTER tomorrow at 6:00 am in Albuquerque.

I got a call from Driver Development in Alb, with a trainee that has 35 hours left to go on his 200. His mentor is getting out of trucking altogether. I'll mosey in to the terminal tomorrow, clean the truck, and help this trainee get his wheels.

This morning (at midnight plus one minute) started in Hurricane, UT; logging On Duty Pretrip AND Delivery as I coasted into the Walmart terminal from the hole-in-the-wall Chevron truck stop less than a mile away. Made the drop and hook after fighting the "54" series trailer tandems, then ran up to Cedar City, UT to do another drop and hook headed to Albuquerque for a live unload.

It was great backtracking my route from yesterday with a LIGHT load. The 8% grades were nothing with only 9K in the box.

By the way, the US-89 from Flagstaff up to the Utah border is wide open. Qualcomm apparently still thinks the section about 20 miles south of Page, UT is still off limits to trucks. Everything is repaired, so stay on US-89 and DON'T go on BIA-20.

Back at the hotel with my NEW TRUCK. Everything moved back in. Now just trying to get a load out of here. About 90% of the loads are going to Cali. One for Houston on the 9th, and one for Sumner, WA. Trying to snag that Houston one if can get it t-called but that is not looking good since the only place would be El Paso and freight there is not that great. Just have to wait for the morning or later tonight. My DM is still looking. Need to get some miles while I can and no truck payment. One thing nice, I was in the hole and paying a extra $100 week in a make up audit. Today they just rolled that over on to my truck payment. A extra $5.00 a week and I made that up taking away windshield ins and rider policy that I forgot was on there.

You're crackin' me up!! I wish I knew him THAT well but all my dealings with him have been straight up.

Looks like I might have to go to the terminal after all. My PornStar is giving me fits today. The cruise control keeps turning off anywhere from once a minute to every few seconds. Just turns itself off!! It's like I'm hitting the off button. Plus my Jakes are acting up now too. Won't engage unless I slap the throttle with my foot and let it snap back.

I just lost two days in the Memphis shop last weekend and now it has to go in again.

    North Platte, NE.

I had a nice 600 mile day today, and it was a nice surprise that the Walmart DC didn't make me waste time with a lumper fee like all the other drivers in line before me.
"So you're Swift, and a drop. Here you go, and here you go. Have a wonderful day"

I did a Mac 30 this morning before I started. 3 load offers, each identical.
Drive 60 miles mt, deliver to the same place by 0900 tomorrow, 1 loaded mile.
I'm like, WTF!!! April Fools Day should have been done with 2 days ago.

No pplans came my way today.
I just did another 30 a few minutes ago... "There are currently no load offerings..."

Oh, and my check engine light went out about an hour before my delivery.
It's still off. Let's see how long it lasts.

Looks like Tolleson, AZ - Otay Mesa - Edwardsville to get about 2500 for the week.

When Prostars suddenly do strange electrical things disconnect the batteries main positive lead for about 10 seconds and it will be good to go 90% of the time . Disconnect the tall post at the rear of the second battery .

A few days ago the power window and lock switch on the driver's door quit and it was good to go in less than 5 minutes .

i wonder if those were just moves in the system to get someone in there to grab an mt off the property. I see these all the time. It's a p/u and del at the same location. Then at the bottom it will say "bobtail in and pickup trl 123456. Trailer can be used at planners discression"

And yet the Walmart DC I delivered to had no shortage of mt's.
In fact, they insisted I take an mt when I requested to bt out because the truck stops were fast filling up.

I see it more of a move to just move me with no reason behind it, except maybe to pay one less layover day.

There seems to be little freight moving this Easter holiday weekend.

    Well, I got a load.
It doesn't pick up until Monday morning so I'll be getting a 34, but at least I won't be sitting all weekend.
Pick up is in Colony, WY, 403 miles mt.
Then 1272 loaded miles to OH for a Wednesday delivery.

    I'm happy with that.
