Almost to Barstow and then it's downhill from there..LOL.....will drop our load at Central Transport, get fuel at Fontana, and then head for the motel until Monday morning. We have to leave out with our load no later than 7am (9am CST) in order to get to Joplin for my husband's DR appt at 3pm Tuesday.
Funny thing about the "running late" messages......we get 41 hours to run from Riverside to St. Louis, so that's where we set our ETA and we always get a message back saying that time is past our appt time (because the computer figures we can get there in 36hrs) and need to contact our DM (and we do run it in close to 36 hours if we don't stop along the way)....we just ignore it because our DM knows what's going on....LOL -

guessing this is when your taking loads to a dc? I know I can deliver to stores as early as I like if the load is ready, one example todays load cuts at 10:30 am and I can deliver any time between that up to 22:00.
Drove about 500 miles last night, took a load up to Salinas and then took a load to Santa Maria and now im shut down behind the Santa Maria store. -
Most of my loads the first stop is sometime around 04:30 or so and some smaller stores don't have employees there until 04:00 so if I'm too early I won't have anyone there to unload me.

I picked up that load in cedar city once going to Denver... is it just the mcdonalds cups? It was nice and light running over 70 with

Wolfy, the big difference is he is running reefer loads that are not drop/hook like most of your loads to the stores.
When I was doing surge for Dallas Home Depot we always got the same message about service failures. We always got there early but did not do the macro until within the time frame. On most occasions receiving would come out and tell you to back into the door anyway. Just a phone call to the Swift DC rep and you were good to be early with no service failure. -
They won't give me a service failure for being early. I just won't have anyone there to unload me if its too early. When I have a later appt when the employees are there I can be an hour or two early and usually sweet talk them into unloading the trailer.
One time I got to a store 2 hours early and they wouldn't unload because they were changing shifts in an hour and the next shift was supposed to be receiving me and the current shift didn't want to unload the truck. -
