Yep, they are serious about the PFJ embargo. We don't know that guy's story. For all we know, he blew off his planned fuel stop, figuring that Swift would let him fill up there and get those 10X points. Instead, he gets to go stinky for another day.
As for those PFJs that we still fuel at... It's very likely that those are franchise stores. It's not always obvious from the signage, but a good indicator is the lack of a Denny's.![]()

Thats why I love being a lease op I fuel where I want plus if its pilot/j we get 10x points for being swift L/O
OceanDan Thanks this. -
good for swift for sticking to their guns. this is how to treat those who do you wrong. dont know if pilot/flying j are trying to rectify the issue, or if they just dont care. i havent fueled there since it started, but then again, i been doing local since labor day

While I think the embargo is deserved it sure does make things difficult for drivers. There's a Pilot (granted it's a really crappy one) 5 miles from our drop yard. But that's out so we have to use Loves. This means going anywhere from 20-60 miles out of route (round-trip) to Loves in Fort Mill,SC, Blacksburg, SC , Salisbury,NC, and occasionally TA in Mocksville,NC. And now it seems we can't even get 50 gallons at Wilcos which we used to be able to do. My truck has the 50 gal. tanks which I routinely run very low due to how far I have to go to refuel.
Couple this with the zip code-zip code mileage math in Swifts favor for local work kinda aggravates me though we do get some perks that offset a lot of stress for me. Still, the screwing on miles is significant when added up. For instance today Swift miles-77. Real miles-97. Each way. Did the same run yesterday too. We have a lot of runs like that. A few are dead on.OceanDan Thanks this. -
I on average am off 65-75 miles and they say if its not 10% they wont do anything about it.

Swift has me filling at the T/A close to the MN border on I-94 as I leave WI in the morning but no other stops before Minot. I already told my DM I'll be reop'ing when I get into Fargo and will top off the tanks at that point. Should be enough to cover my butt.
You're right about the FlyJ in Pasco. What a dump!! When I'm up there I stay across the street at the Indie..I think it's called King City.OceanDan Thanks this. -
At a Holiday on I-84 in Eau Claire WI doing my 10.
After leaving Harrisonville MO at 3am it was smooth sailing through Kansas City before rush hour. I was glad I was grossing 79K lbs when I got further north on I-35 due to the nasty crosswind.
After my drop at 2pm in Menomonie WI I called my next P/U to see if the load was ready. Swift had me picking up between 10pm tonight and 2am which would've required me to do a quick 10, do the P/U and roll all night..ugh!! Fortunately the load was ready and I went and got it. Was able to make it west to Eau Claire before my 11 ran out. Now I can run the way I want starting my day at 3am.
The customer I picked up at was Bush Bros, the baked bean guys. I've been there a few times and they are one of my FAVORITE shippers. Loads are usually ready early, you don't get jacked around at the window and the loaded trailers are easy to get to. Real nice folks that don't mess around. The whole place is well laid out and easy to get in and out of. Same experience at their facility down in Dandridge TN. Other shippers could learn a LOT from these folks!! -
I went there a couple years ago, smells great!
