Pushed hard, ran from Little America, Wyoming with a friend and his newhire coworker. Called and said he might catch up to me by chance, and he did. Ended that 27 hour marathon from Billings, was woke up to somebody knocking on my door. Had a bite to eat and then we trucked it up together all the way to Salt Lake before I hooked south, getting parked in Primm, Nevada, just 185 miles from my destination in San Bernardino tomorrow morning.
That newhire guy took pictures of me passing my friend's lowboy. The ultimate blackmail photo...worse than that picture mom took of you running around naked as a kid! -
I love when I can stop at Primm.
The last time I came out $200 ahead.
I'm in OH at a Loves.
I stopped WAY early of what I could have done, but I didn't want to put myself in the position to pull an all-nighter tomorrow night after my 2200 live unload.
If the planners saw 8 hours left on my clock at midnight I'm sure they would plan me to drive until morning, when I'm not on that kind of sleep schedule. This way I'll only have about 3 hours left. -
Still in Billings but FINALLY the repairs to my steering column are complete. Getting cabin fever from sitting here 3 days.
Been up all day waiting so set my 10 and put my PTA to 2am. Have home time in Houston on the 18th so now I'll have to see what the planners come up with to head me in that general direction. -
My current load takes me to within 350 miles of home. I'll be just southeast.
We (my sister and I, because I move as she moves) just moved to a new place.
I've not seen it yet except from the outside.
She totally LOVES it, and I can't wait to see it.inkeper Thanks this. -
Marion OH at the Loves. D/H a mile away in the AM, then pick up a 2200 miler heading west with a built in 34 in it. Hopefully I can T-call at my terminal before my 70 is out so I can 34 and pick up my first student. Or he'll get bussed home and I'll pick him up in his hometown.
OceanDan Thanks this. -
TA off I-80 IL. Game on. Dropped my Jawja Pac, load and dm had sent message saying I was in slow freight area and planner sent a load to get me out. 220 miles, l/l, 09:00, l/u 19:00. OK you NON rookies does 200 ish miles put you in completely different lanes? I asked my dm to stack one on it to get me out of Michigan. He came back with "you are low on hours". Pointed out I'd have more than ten after the wasted day load. Did my mt call and before I could accept the 220 l/l, l/u they removed it. As Bugs Bunny used to say, "he don't know me very well do he?".
I'll pester repeated mac30's till I get sleepy. Then if nothing first thing in morning I'll just take a 34. -
Freight: East is up 156, West is down almost 200. The place to be right now is Bama, NC, GA and Jersey. Utah, NorCal, and CO are still short, but up from the past few days.
HousTank Thanks this. -
Finally got out of Edwardsville, in Lancaster now after getting check engine light dealt with.

Stuck in Billings MT (with no trailer). Down 3 days for repair and now another 24 hrs with no load. Banging away on mac30 yields nothing. Send messages to my terminal in Houston and get no responses nor do they answer the phone.
Home time set for Saturday. I'm just about disgusted.
