Sorry ...
Geezus ... now you went and did it ... I had to think about it. It's been 20 years since I went to Ft Benning to watch my son graduate. I remember it pissed his mother off when he asked me - instead of her - to pin his award ... I think it was for grenades.

finally getting out of here tomorrow without my truck being fixed. They found that it is a wire harness and has to be ordered. Could take 4 days, could take 4-6 weeks. Not going to wait around and find out. I will just deal with FM only

Another option a couple of miles further from Amazon is exit 14 (Ethanac Road), head west 1/4 mile. You have two excellent options. Theres a hole in the wall truck stop 76 station on the SW corner off Ethanac Road, with parking for about six trucks.
On the NW corner is a big shopping center, go in the truck entrance next to the Circle K. The next business past the Circle K is "Just Tires" and there's a dirt lot you can park in by circling around Just Tires. Truckers use that for quick stops frequently, even for 10's. From that dirt lot you've got Starbucks, numerous restaurants and shops, a Winco, and Home Depot. I park there frequently on my way to or from home time, usually bobtail but I've used it a couple of times running down and back to Temecula or Otay Mesa with a trailer and needing a break before hitting the insanity of the I-215/US-60 merge.A21CAV Thanks this. -
A21CAV, if that's your first time into that Amazon pay attention to which distribution center you need to be go to. There's more than one. You might want to message the CSR before going in for your pickup to make sure. I've wasted time going from one building to the other, trying to find the right place.

It seems that all terminals are experiencing a systemwide computer freeze out. Can't access truck information, plan loads, or dispatch. I tried using Mac-30 to see if I can scare up another load after I make my 2 am delivery near DFW, at first it returned one of those local 1 mile runs and I declined. After that no response at all from Mac-30.
Called my DM and they are frozen, said I should try Phoenix. I tried Phoenix and Lancaster. Everybody is sitting with the proverbial thumb up the anal orifice, waiting for the system to reboot.
Fun times on a Friday afternoon. -
Well I'm thinking of going back otr or with another company. This dedicated account would be good, last load was 3300 miles round trip from Miami to 14 stops in Ri and mass. and 35 a stop for driver unload. It was a lot of work but I actually enjoyed the workout even though I was sore as heck. Took me 8 days and that was with a reset. But they keep messing up my pay and as of today owe me just over 500. That I can't deal with and keep getting "I will fix it today" and never happens. I'm not going to let it get any higher. Too bad it is like this, could be extremely profitable. Oh well, this is my luck.

jv terminal. did my 30 min break at my normal spot. next to subway on ramona expressway in perris ca. had breakfast at harry's cafe. sent mac 13 to larry(planner at terminal) to see if any local run. still had 5 hrs to run. no reponse in 2 hrs, so drove here and dispatch also confirmed the computer glitch. had a load in camirillo ca for a 0700 appt. so been up pretty early.i'll wait a few hrs and go see if i can get some extra work tomorrow

An unproductive day for me. Only 2 loads done and under 200 miles. Main reason? The "fix" that the Volvo dealer did on the harness holding umbilical/air lines caused the umbilical to go too low while I was docking at the consignee in Morganton. It went over a bolt on the frame of the truck and bound up. Both airlines severed, umbilical ripped the plug-in out of the chassis. So for a couple hours I blocked up 2-3 doors. It's a good thing it was not a busy place. It seems I was the first to bring the original problem to Swifts attention so they started asking other drivers issued pos Volvo's. Yep confirmed in areas other than Charlotte issued trucks. So I unfixed the dealers fix and put the bungee back on using the mechanics tools but still left with the original problem. They are going to have to send us to Greer unless a solution is found that we can do ourselves (we would get paid for the fix).
