So something oddly good happened to me today. Traffic was bad early, like 1400 and I thought to myself wtf is this a 3 day holiday weekend? I finally get to shipper. My entire pick-up, nobody seems to know what to do with. Go here, talk to him, go back there, no you go back to the first office, just a general Stanley Tools normal day. It was a mess. So the almost last guy I talked to says "Why does this always happen on Fridays?". I was puzzled so asked what he meant so he repeated it. I thought today was Thursday. And I went through yesterday thinking it was Wednesday. This revelation lifted my aggravated mind to euphoria. I did not even mind wasting 2 hours there, it turned out they screwed up, container not ready. Planner made sure I got paid for taking an mty there and said go home. So for 2 days I've been one behind in my mind. I'm a happy Kindle!

Camden, TN. One of my favorite stops when in the mood for some homemade buffet. The North 40. Also the morning breakfast sandwiches. I am so liking this truck. Not even broke in and averaging 8.4 on this trip and that is with me doing 68 at times and some crosswinds and headwinds. Imagine when broke in.
Yesterday when I returned to my truck after dinner I had a message on my QC. Safety wanted me to download the video and send them from my dash cam regarding what that other driver did. I have to feeling that it will be getting called into a terminal. Not sure of the out come, but know that if there was a LEO there at the time and saw it, definitely 2 tickets, possibly 3.OceanDan Thanks this. -
Mr DPSTrucker. The doc is misinformed. There is no new regs on sleep apnea testing. Here check this info out.
(What got us to this point is twofold. First FMCSA published, very briefly, proposed guidance that would have expanded on sleep apnea testing in April 2012. The proposed guidance was pulled down days later, but that bell wasnt completely unrung. The cat was out of the sleep apnea bag: FMCSA was looking to regulate it further.)
Here Please check this link lots of good info for what your going thru and other big folks like myself. its getting to the point if your fat your going to get tested. But more then not the doctors and CO wanting the testing are getting kickbacks from the cpap mfg and clinics. Its turning in to a big racket. Not about safety is about $$$ sadly. Check links below. I wish you well Mr.

(As the situation currently stands
There are NO FMCSA guidelines or rules on sleep apnea.)

At a T/A in Marianna FL on my way to Hattiesburg MS.
Been a busy week since hometime in Houston. Got off to a slow start last Saturday after geting jacked around by a shipper and Swift for 20hrs. Nothing new, just an apathetic shipper and a clueless CSR. Once loaded headed to northern IN. Northern WI next, then central OH, then Detroit, then back down to OH to Savannah GA and on to MS. Have an extra 18hrs or so on this mac30 load so I'm going to stop in Mobile AL and visit my brother. I can smell the steaks on the grill already!!
The stinking Love Bugs are back out in force along I-10 too. Nasty, useless acid filled creatures!!! -
At home, finishing my 34. Spent the day sorting stuff to keep on the truck; most of it went into the garage.
I have a Target load tomorrow, then a stop at Church & Dwight in York to grab a load heading to Houston. I pick up my new team driver along the way. She's testing out on Monday.
Boss says he's going to run us OTR for a couple of weeks to get ourselves situated before we head back to PA.
I challenged him to see how quickly he can get us to have a stop in each of the 48 states...

Yes but Swift can add too but at a minimum have to follow the regs. If swift wants to test every one with a bmi of 34 or higher for sleep apnea they can. 10 bucks that's what it is swift telling concerta that.
At lovely Lancaster terminal ok maybe stretching the truth there picking up a tcall taking it to New Orleans oh joy -
Stage Stop in Boise. I always try to stay here when in the area as its a Mom&Pop. Today started just west of Albuquerque, where my student started, and I took over in SLC. this past week has been fantastic. We deliver in Portland and then 34 at the Troutdale Terminal after a nice 6500 mile week. I may sleep all 34 hours though, as teaming with a trainee is a lot more stressful than when I teamed with my friend who had 13 years OTR lol. Next week I may try to keep it easy and roll super solo.
This kid can back really well and seems to be doing better and better each day.
His main issue is the #### Qualcomm, and understanding that wretched plus 1 system.
Next week I'll go over Mac 9 and 22 every single day until he gets it. -
still stuck in New Boston, fml

The Flying Hook in Jeffersonville, OH. Sure glad that I topped one tank in Hooks, TX at $2.47/gal. After that it has been anywhere from $2.59 up to $2.79/gal. Was thinking about parking at the terminal until remembered what day it is and decided that I just did not want the hassle of that place trying to get into a spot since the terminal is set p to pay able to pull into spots but when you find a spot there will be a trailer parked behind or a driver. I swear that it is like the Denver terminal only on steroids.
