I'm at the Sparks terminal, waiting until morning when the shop opens to get my coolant leak fixed.
I didn't see any other trucks in the red parking so it looks like they are not very busy.

Guess I'll go gamble a bit as my potato bakes for dinner.

my dl will try and get me a preplan when i'm doing a 34 reset or if i'm on hometime. i like it cause you can plan your day off and dont have to wait around waiting for one.

It was much better for me as well.
After the 70 MPH winds yesterday, it was very calm today heading up to Reno.

Now I'm just hoping I can get the truck fixed and get out of here before this next storm moves in tomorrow night. A couple feet of snow is expected for the higher elevations.

And I'm stuck with a 14' trailer because Walmart requires us to take an mt out, and there were only 14 footers left.

    trucker3205 Thanks this.

REQUIRES???? Last time I saw that on a dispatch I ignored it and bobtailed out. Nothing was said.
Besides, if they put your truck in "shop-status" you might get lucky and lose it.
I don't like 14' trailers because of the mileage penalty, why don't you like them?

Because they are 6 inches taller and can't go everywhere.
It just rubs me the wrong way to be stuck with an oddball, I guess.
I've been stuck with a 14 footer before, and had a heck of a time swapping it for something 'normal' for my next load. It wasted several hours.

And I was told flat out by Walmart, if I didn't take an mt I would not be allowed to drop my load or leave.
It was not mentioned in the dispatch, only when I got there.
