At the hook in Beach, ND headed for SD. Should be ok this week, knock on wood, after two on the anorexia plan. Ah, trucking. Ya just gotta love it.

Sitting on the couch at my teammate's place near Bryan, TX., watching the clouds from Tropical Storm Bill go sailing by. When we pulled in, I had 0:00 on my 70, and she had 0:33 on hers. :)

I'm so glad to be off of the Target account. It's great for solo drivers; 48 cpm, weekly 34, no hunting for parking at truck stops. I was averaging around 2500 miles a week.

Team operation? Not so good. We have 4000 miles this week, and nearly half of those were this run to Texas. We're now officially OTR, and the fleet manager says that 6000+ mile weeks are typical for his teams. We shall see...

Anyway, this 34 is much needed downtime.

Just pulled off for the night. At the Pilot in Mississippi, I-10 exit 69. ;) I always look forward to the Moe's here. Kind of like Chipotle, but I don't think it's as good. At least it's something different.

It was rough driving this morning. Heavy rains at times and 20 mph winds hitting me from the South from Katy area to Beaumont.

    Jackson, WY.

This was the first time I've taken the drive through Grand Teton on US 26.
    Breathtaking!

There is no place to park a truck around here, except for the side of the street. And it is crowded with tourists.
I found the little Sears that I deliver to in the morning, and parked behind it on the street next to a park.
Lovely little town, but not truck friendly in the least.

I got here at 1400 and I don't deliver until 0730 tomorrow morning. But that is fine with me after seeing the place. I'd much rather wait until early morning when cars are not lined up and blocking what little access I might have. It's tight.

Space Age at Hermiston, OR. Talked to my DM today and he told me that I should have pushed all the way to my final and tried to get it off. When I am told that it is a definite drop appointment they why and use up a bunch of hours for no reason. He tried to tell me that he did not get my message on Monday regarding CSR and asking them. As it is now, I have 22 hours available for the next 3 days so not able to get to Golden until Sunday as planned. Plenty of loads coming out just not released yet. Asked me about Grand Rapids and that was a fast no. Tired of running mostly the north.

Well ... I've reached a point. I'm not sure where the point is or what the point of the point is.

3 times in the last week, I've pulled into a shipper/receiver, thinking I'd never been there. Only to realize, I don't know when or why, but I've been here before ... or I'm coming down with a real intense case of deja vu.

I have been having those moments for many years. Doing something or seeing something and thinking that I have already done this sometime in the past. It is like I dreamed it in the past and then it happens in the future. A little spooky at times.
