Doing a 10 at a customer in Topeka KS.

Yesterday I dropped my inbound from Iowa at the Costco DC in Morris. On the way in the truck started handling a little bouncy and rough. After docking the trailer found the leveling valve for the rear air bags was toast and they were constantly inflating then deflating.

Dealt with onroad and had the repairs done at the T/A across the street. Didn't get much sleep during my 10. Got up a few hours later and took off with my Costco for Eden Prairie in Minneapolis. Left there this morning and headed down to Hastings MN and picked up a heavy preloaded for a dog food manufacturer in Topeka KS. They just finished with me during my 10.

Gonna grab a few hours of sleep and head to Edwardsville to P/U a teams inbound tcall that I'll take to some little town around Toledo OH. It's got a little extra time on it so I'll catch up on my sleep on the drive up there. Last week was very good for miles and have a good start for this week.

I'm at the Edwardsville terminal too. Hoping I can pick up my live load earlier than the 12:30 appointment then head for Morris. After that, heading for home tomorrow.

Argh. Hubby is in Gary, Indiana. Hometime is scheduled for today. He had a load that was bringing him home. He got to the shipper last night, and the load wasn't ready, so he waited. Ran out his clock. So, he does the math, sends in his mac22 (pushing his delivery time back 1.5 hrs) and goes to bed. Wakes up this morning to knocking on his door, his load was repowered. The truck that took his load left 30 minutes before he would have. The load will still be late. Now, he is once again without an empty, and without a load to come home. At least it is still early in the day.

Getting ready leave the Troutdale terminal. What a messed up day yesterday. One, my DM and CSR did not do their job. Found out that if they would have called the receiver I could have dropped Wednesday night. I tried to call and just got voice mails. Then my empty trailer there was a container so that took 2 hours to get taken care of and ended up pulling it to here and by the time here could not make my next pickup until this morning which means me getting to Golden later than planned and with less hours. Between now and midnight Saturday have all of 17 hours before pick up about 11. Pretty much guaranteed getting a crap plan out of Denver on Sunday if even get one. Best part of yesterday, got into it with a lady fedex driver in a box truck. She was #####ing about where I was parked, where the receiving told me to park and she did not like the fact that she had to walk a extra 10 feet to get to the ramp. Ended up calling me a ### and then I jumped out of my truck. Told her that if she is having a problem that she is more than welcome to walk back into the receiver and talk to them or call security and asked her what made her so high and mighty. She was done with her delivery there, she had to walk in with one envelope. From looking at her she could use the exercise. Was talking to the receiver and they told me that she was just a #####. They wish that they could tell her off like I did.

Around 2, they finally found a load that tcalled from gary to new boston. Then, his dm tried to convince him to give up a day of hometime and go out monday morning. To benefit him, of course. He has to spend his first day home fixing things (my washing machine broke a week ago, and with 2 kids in cloth diapers, that is darn near catastrophic) and mowing grass. :) Going out early is not happening. Have a good weekend y'all.

Nampa, ID. Pulled in with 1 hour left on my 14 for the day. I was hoping to get a little further like the Stage Stop but did not want to chance it. Tomorrow a whopping 8 hours on my 70 and then pick up almost 11 at midnight. My DM let me down again. After telling me many times that he would have me a plan out of Denver for Sunday by Thursday, no later than Friday morning, nothing. Tonight he tells me that he was on the phone with the planner. Funny, he tells me on Wednesday that on Thursday he will just plan something on me himself. So now with Denver if not have a decent load by Friday then the odds of a decent one on Sunday are lousy.
