Spending the night at the Taj Mahal of our terminals...That's right, Memphis :)

Picked up my load to Laredo, with that dirty trailer, up in Cleveland yesterday and started rolling south. The load was already 7 days late and would've been 10 days late getting to the broker with a solo running it down.

I needed my med card renewed and a SIMS class so after talking to my DM it was decided to tcall it in Memphis and let a team take it. Fine with me because according to my DM Laredo is a dead zone right now. Not Memphis.

Did my SIMS and physical and got two loads stacked. A good paying 2-stop short haul here in Memphis and Olive Branch MS then hoof it down to my favorite furniture maker down in Ecru MS for nice light preloaded for a drop at one of their stores in north Houston. Will give me a chance to update my new med card with the state before my old one runs out.

It's plenty hot here in Memphis so sorry Swift, I'm gonna have to idle a bit tonight.

I picked up my pre-loaded trailer this afternoon and found that both mud flaps were missing.
All the bolts were in place, but no flaps. (no remains either)
The brakes seriously needed adjustment as well, and the inspection sticker was good.

Luckily there was a Love's a mile away and I got everything fixed.
I lucked out with on-road as well. Zero wait time before she answered. I was in and out of Love's in a little less than an hour.

Lucky you Moose. I picked up a preloaded trailer on Monday just west of Columbus, OH. I had misgivings when I saw the trailer number was a 99****** number. Used to be a T-trailer. Tires weren't the greatest, but they had tread on them. Got about 100 miles down the road and blew one out in Richmond, IN. Pulled in to the Love's, checked out the tire and also found that the mudflap bracket needed welding. Don't know how I missed that on the prettip. I always hit the mudflaps to make sure they are secure. I talked to the shop while I was waiting on On-road to answer and found out they could weld the bracket also, then Onroad answered, put me on hold to call the shop, then came back and told me the shop will fix me up. I asked if the mudflap bracket had been approved also and he tells me I don't have to argue, they are there to help me and anything I need the shop will fix. First of all, I wasn't arguing. I was just asking if the bracket had been approved also. And secondly, if you're gonna give me that attitude, I should have nitpicked that trailer to death and got it all fixed. But I didn't. Took two hours to get everything done, including 20 minutes and two guys to get the tires off. They were stuck! After they were done, I pulled out and started to leave, but thought I should check that bracket. Good thing I did. They left a ten inch length of their welding rod stuck to the bracket, and the weld was so poor it didn't do any good. It's so hard to get good help.

Ya, I guess I lucked out.

In more ways than one. I had left nearly 2 hours earlier than I originally had planned to pick up the load; I woke up this morning and was just itching to get going early. If I had left on schedule I would have been very short on time for delivery.

I deliver in Laredo Friday morning, and I'm hoping the freight is a bit better when I get there.
I'd hate to be stuck there over the weekend.

Taking my break at the top of an on ramp one mile north of the LA border on I-55S in MS. Nice and quiet here.

Did my 2-stop short haul to a couple of Lowes stores this morning in Memphis and Olive Branch MS. No problems at the first but had issues at the second.

Entered around the backside of the building so I'd have the rear of the trailer at their backdoor and be set up to back into their dock. As I'm coming down the back driveway I find a locked gate so I can't get to the docks. Go inside and ask them to unlock it so I can get through and this rude excuse of a woman told me No!! You can back out and go around!! Don't you know how to drive a truck!! Don't you know that lit me up. Flat out told her I wasn't about to back around the building and through parked cars out onto the undivided 4-lane in front of their store. There was no where to turn around in the front. I couldn't come in the other entrance either because they had too much crap piled up in front of the docks to do a 180 to set up. She called some other dufus back there and the two of them got real snotty with me again. Told them there was no way in hell I was putting that trailer out backwards across 4-lanes of traffic and to give me the number of their safety dept so I could tell them about what their demands were. They wouldn't. After more arguing they opened the #### gate and I got unloaded. I'm so sick of dealing with idiots!!

Left there and hustled down to Ashleys in Ecru MS. Dropped my mty and went to the office just to be told another Swifty had picked up my load a 1/2 hour earlier. WTF!!
Two hours later, after going back and forth with the CSR, they found another load preloaded going to the same store in Houston so I took that one instead.

Had one minute left on my 14 when I hit this exit. What a day!!

How is the load assigned and taken by another driver if it's assigned to you amd you are dispatched on it?

IGH Terminal. Got my new phone this evening. Now just have to remember all of the apps and get them downloaded. Glad that the other phone was password protected otherwise even though it was suspended he would have been able to open and go through my apps which are just trucking ones except my load guage which was auto sign in

Deliver to Dart Transit in the morning and shoot up to St Cloud, Electrolux and then down to Valdosta. My DM actually did something right yesterday morning. He can plan this area with no problems. He was talking about me shooting over to Decatur from there and up to Marion, IN if they could get someone to pick up a certain load and t-call it in Decatur. Decided right then and there, MAC 8 time, El Paso for the 1st of July. Now deliver on Saturday and they have 4 days to get me to El Paso. One way to get miles before the end of the pay week. This will give me 3800 for the week. Not sure if my bank can handle that large pay check for me.

Must be thwt kind of day. Hubby was sent on the trailer goose hunt yet again. They started it by sending him a qualcomm message that said directions, with no dispatch. He headed that way, and i told him they don't plan to pay you if there is no dispatch. While on his way, he gets a dispatch for an empty solution at a sam's club, so he checks out the first place and they had nothing, turns around and heads to the sam's club where the receiving lafy starts swearing at him because they don't give out empties. After letting her know that she does not need to be such a bit*h, he once again requests to bobtail. By the time he gets approval 5 hrs are gone from his clock and all his loads are late. (5 stops). He talks with his dm and she had no clue they sent him an empty solution without dispatch so she made sure those miles got paid and then she got him hourly pay for the 5 hours he wasted this morning. I think he parked with 14 minutes on his clock...he is somewhere outside of Chicago, they like to keep him close to Romeoville.

If it's an Android phone, just go to the Google Play Store and sign in. it remembers everything you had.
