Husband is pretty unhappy again. Had a load that sent him up to Sault Ste Marie, and then they sent him across the UP to get a paper load in Quinnesec, Mi. But first, they told him he needed to move 5 trailers 5 miles down the road to the service center. So, he brings in his empty and moved the 5 trailers and went to grab what he was told would be a preloaded trailer, and they told him it is a live load and he needs to have an empty. They already gave away the one he brought in. So, the csr suggested he start calling and bugging the service cemter to get one of the trailers fixed. :(

Just hauled a beer load from Fort Collins to Nogales (no shortage of hills), left Ft. Collins @ 79880 and STILL managed 7.6 MPG.

Steve, did you have winds of about 10mph with gusts up to 25mph in open fields. Also it is close to a b-service so maybe time for fuel filter. El Paso is fast. Already a call that my truck is done, but it does have to go to KW for warranty work. The brakes did need an adjustment but it is under recall.

Not enough wind to worry about. Given the hilly nature of the route I was a bit suprised at the overall mileage. I trip planned 7 MPG and it made it up to 7.8 before dropping slightly to 7.6. Didn't hurt that I was pulling a nearly new reefer, exceptionally nice pulling trailer.

Three day weekend at my partner's (co-driver's) house in Texas for the holiday. Already dispatched for our next load on Sunday.

This week hasn't been all that great; 4100 miles. Thursday was spent stuck at the Lathrop terminal. On shop hold for a B service. Got our sims out of the way, at least. Picked up in Sacramento Thursday night and delivered in St. Louis on Saturday. We were supposed to do a StL back to Sac run, but an emergency call from home changed those plans. Columbus to Pittsburgh, live unload at 3 AM Monday, then home to take care of something that in hindsight I would have been money ahead just to hire someone else to do. Picked up in Camp Hill on Tuesday afternoon, and got that load delivered in San Antonio in time for it to count on this week's check. :)

Next week's check is going to be a bit short, so we've requested a couple of 7000 mile weeks to make up for it. :)

The truck is done for now and already a nice pplan to from here to go to Romeoville for Monday and then a live load in Bedford Park for delivery in Lithonia on Wednesday. Not the greatest miles but after home time they will work. El Paso is talking to me about transferring down here. If can not get something taken care of at IGH today then it will be happening tomorrow. They have a nice flag flying, the most miles of all the terminals for last year and already going strong on this year.

Well tried to call my terminal about 3 hours ago and left a message that I am trying to find out what is going on and no return call. In the meantime El Paso called me again and told me in the morning come in and talk to the DM's and they will let me know what is going. I have tried and tried to get the problems taken care of and I did tell IGH last Thursday that either gets fixed or I transfer or leave. They told me that change over load boards. Again that was last Thursday and nothing has happened. El Paso did ask if I have tried to talk to IGH and I can honestly say yes.

I too am getting very tired of the lack of support from IGH. IF my DM is there it's nearly impossible to get her on the phone. At least one of the DMs accent is so bad I won't even attempt to deal with him. Lately the IGH DMs are afraid to plan me because the planners have too much power and get them in trouble.
I could go on but I'm home and honestly don't care.

    Mt. Vernon, IL at TA.

My live unload at a Coca Cola yesterday ended up taking 6 hours and ran me too low on hours to pick up my next load. I ended up finally putting the trailer in a dock and dropping it there. I bobtailed out because I didn't think I would find parking that late in the day in that area.
The next load was removed from me. Too bad, it was 700 miles. But I could never have made an on time delivery by that time.
I had just enough time left to fight through St. Louis evening traffic.to get to the Pilot. I was right. If I had a trailer I would not have found a space.

I did a Mac 30 and one load offering was sent. I didn't like it so I ignored it.
A few hours later a pplan came in. All of 60 miles empty and 400 loaded, and not delivering until Monday late morning. But I took it fearing that it would be my last chance for the holiday weekend.

We went about 130 miles and stopped here to grab a 34.
Plenty to do around here with a Walmart right across the street, plenty of restaurants and even a movie theater .5 miles away.
Just after we shut down we headed to the theater and saw Terminator: Genesys. It didn't get very good reviews, but we both enjoyed it.

Big Spring, TX. Was going to try and get further but after trailer getting rejected for something totally stupid at Electrolux, small piece of rubber missing on trailer tire, decided to just stop here. The process has started regarding my transfer to the El Paso terminal. Not just kinda mosey to Romeoville and hope that when drop this one they will give me a empty, then just mosey on down to Lithonia for Wednesday morning.

Petro in Joplin. First time that I have been in since redone. Looks nice. Can not believe that for the 4th, hardly any traffic. Less than a normal weekend.
