At the Double Nickel in Hayti MO on I-55N.
They've got really good BabyBack Ribs here!!

Had a good run up from LA today but still 4 hrs from final in the morning since delays yesterday killed my drive time. Will still arrive on time. Checked Mac30 for a load out and was shocked to find a nice one. A preloaded just a few minutes from my final going to Conroe TX. Nice and light too. I grabbed it.

Ran into a fierce thunderstorm with an almost tornado coming up I-55 in AR 10 miles before the MO border. Winds went ballistic and everyone was diving for the shoulders. Awesome!! For once I was glad I was grossed at 78K lbs!!

I saw two trucks blown over on the southbound side once I started moving again. Blocked both lanes and traffic was backing up fast. What a mess.

At a Loves on I-24W east of Paducah KY.

Got unloaded at a plastics place in Evansville IN this morning. Great receiver with easy docks and fast too!! 20 mins to pull 21 pallets and I was rolling to my next pickup a few miles away going to Conroe TX.

Was supposed to be preloaded and ready to go at 9:30am. Wasn't to be. Sat there waiting till almost 1pm. Pretty much blew my drive time today towards Conroe. Barely got 2 hours in as my 14 was nearly gone as I got parked at this Loves.

    HOME TIME!!!
And I got here on the exact day I requested.

Today we spent the afternoon at a T-Mobile store. My Verizon contract expires Saturday and T-Mobile has better deals, and Leann needed a phone.
After 2 hours we finally had everything worked out, after going round and round and up and down and sideways.
The people in that store were wonderful, several times coming up with ways we could do things cheaper and then adjusting things already done.
I ended up with a mobile broadband deal of 20GB for $40 per month, and new stupid phone for me and a new smart phone for Leann.

Tomorrow we are going to the Mall of America to check out the aquarium and all the stores, then Friday I am cooking a big turkey dinner.

I can remember many years ago when T-Mobile cancelled my data contract while on the road. Reason, roaming to much. Moose, you might want to check into that. After they cancelled my data contract I cancelled my phone and they still tried to charge me. My conversation was, YOU cancelled part of my contract so I am cancelling the rest.

Finally after all of the crap home in Goodyear. My truck is in KW and what we thought would be done by Saturday looks like Monday now. I left them a whole shopping list of stuff that I know is under warrant. They said that might be looking at a new compressor or some thing else as far as the A/C only when driving but not idling, but possible a new clutch fan, plus figure out why it will not regen when the temp is up around 200 or higher. They think that this might be a software glitch. Possible new power steering pump and also a Dyno just as far as general safety. I remember my last truck when dyno'd at around 40K the graph was all over the place. While I am at it, a PM and checking the brakes.

Today almost had it out with the lumpers were I was delivery. I needed authorization from Command and they would not give me a price. They said that after they were done with the work. Instead of losing it, just called command and let them deal with it. They called me back and told me not to worry about it, but agreeing bad practice. Then when finally done talked to Command again and told, detention pay. This place is known for delaying drivers. Grocery warehouse that is tied into Fry's

That's and understatement unfortunately Verizon has the best network T Mobile's network is good if you just stay in a city but once you start leaving city forget about it and on the west coast minus California good luck with getting a 4G signal

Still being lazy in Minnesota not worrying about having to work sorta nice though.

    Idaho Falls at the Love's.
Hobby Lobby took me early and done in less than an hour.
FINIALLY got a preplan (NOTHING on Mac 30) 15 mins from final. Jerome, ID to Sturgis, MI. At first I thought no but when I realized it was over 1600 miles by Tuesday I grabbed it. I tankered over 100 gallons of fuel into this week so combined with the miles should be a good week.

I've had pretty good luck with my T-Mobile phone, so I'll see how it goes.
I can keep my Verizon account and just suspend it while I try out the T-Mobile. That way it will be easy to switch back over.

T Mobile doesn't have a network ... All their backbone and interconnection is leased from ATT, VZ, Sprint and some Level 3.

They are the Greece of cell carriers. They have an unsustainable business model .Eventually they have to sell. If the FCC won't let them sell - the FCC kibashed the sale to ATT - they will simply close their doors and turn out the lights at some point.

The girls and I had a good time today. We spent the day at the Mall of America.

We started out going through the amusement park (walking and looking only) then went to the aquarium.
Grabbed some lunch and then went to a movie, and then back to the aquarium to finish it up.
We got the 'backstage' tour when we first got there. That let us see some of the workings of the aquarium. We saw the kitchen where they prepare the food, up top above the tanks, and a lot of information on how they run things. It was very interesting.
We did a lot of window shopping, and got some souvenirs.

Then we went to IKEA to pick up my sister from work, get some more grub and just look around.

Tomorrow we are staying home, and I am cooking a big turkey dinner. Thanksgiving style.
Saturday it is back to work, and hopefully everything is fixed on my truck..
