Here in Hayti, MO. A fun morning of pplans, a 200 mile mt for 600 loaded to texas, was getting ready to accept when it was removed. Then a pplan for 200 mt and 300 loaded and that was not going to happen, then the first pplan again and planners comments saying that this is a repo move (whatever that is) so all miles will be paid as loaded. Then this afternoon 2 nice pplans come in that would have given me just over 1500 miles in 4 days for the weekend, and then the first pplan that was going to pick up on Friday changed to Thursday. Bye Bye and when talked to the planner about the change asked if there is anything else that they could tell me and she said wait, it is early. What???? you just sent me these and now it is do early to let me know. Lancaster. Hate being near that terminal when it is almost the weekend.

Evanston, WY. Live unload in Salt Lake tomorrow morning then to West Valley to wait for my t-call load headed for Cheyenne.

So I met up with Hous down in Greer, we bs'd on and off throughout a long day of sitting around waiting on an over-worked way too small shop. At least the mechanics and woman in the shop office are friendly and actually try, they are just overwhelmed. The same can't be said for a lot of Swift shops. Hous did they finally get your harness on? Also I'll check for Heinz 57 tomorrow, might be by the A-1. Sorry kind of an inside thing we discussed.
HousTank Thanks this. -
Still at Greer. The shop finally finished up with everything late this afternoon. Was down a total of five days. Adjusted my PTA as soon as they took my truck out of shop status and checked Mac30...nothing.
. Asked planners for anything heading in the general direction of Houston, Memphis or DFW as I have home time set for Monday in Houston. So far nothing. Will see what tomorrow brings.
The high point of my day was meeting up with Mr. Kindle after he arrived for a B-Serv. I always enjoy being able to meet and put a face to other Swift drivers on the Forum. We spent the day comparing our tenures with Swift and checking on our trucks. Sure made the day go by quicker.
Kindle, it was my pleasure meeting you and stay safe out there!! -
Ok thanks!!
Yeah they finally finished but no loads. Maybe I can get something tomorrow so I can leave here!!
Glad to see you made it home safe!! -
Indeed it was a pleasure to meet you too Hous and hope to see you're posting a trip out of there towards TX. I think I'd have been going nuts there sitting that long. /Cheers Hous!

At a Loves on I-75 a little south of McDonough Ga. Finally got out of Greer this morning by taking an incoming tcall that delivers in the morning. I get out of prison and didn't have to hunt for a trailer...works for me.
On the way down here I received 3 really nice loads I had to turn down because they were heading in the wrong direction to get me home. Finally a planner realized I was serious about going to Houston and offered a 3-stop in Houston picking up in Newnan GA. It gets me home one day early so I jumped on it.
Why is it when I want to go home I get all these great load offers but the last several weeks when I'm out running all I get is ####!?! Things that make you go Hmmmm!! -
Interesting ... I'm going to be in North Florida tomorrow AM ... the only I've been offered is a my choice of 3 day 500 mile trips.

I feel your pain Mystic!!
The last several weeks all I've gotten is short crap, with too much time, putting me on docks nearly every darn day. I've racked up more detention in the past month then I have in the past year or so and it sucks.
For the last couple years up until late April or so I regularly would get 1K to 2.5K runs with a few 350-700 milers thrown in for good measure. And I would run solo coast to coast on a single load probably twice a month.
Now it just plain sucks. Nothing but short regional loads 98% of the time.
