Now QC messing up. The screen only shows about 2/3rd's of the main screen. Can not send messages. Was going to try and unplug and re-boot but the tech who came up with the idea of placing the power unit under the bunk against a wall so you can not get to the power cord unless very tiny fingers. Have held the button in for the 10-15 seconds and still reboots back to the way that it is now. Maybe tonight when it shuts it self down it might fix itself. Ohh, T-680. If anyone else has had this issue let me know. The bottom of the screen under the back arrow and world is all blue for about 1 inch

I got a 660. Ive experienced the same thing you did. I have unscrewed my Qualcomm unit off the panel it was held on too just so I can unplug it to reboot. Done that many of times so I just leave it sitting in my sidebox.

I guess you got too uppity with the available loads and they shut you down.
That last comment you made to them could be seen as an insult.

And the 14th is tomorrow morning.
You are sitting today, and it might have been better to take that morning load rather than piss off a planner.
It might have been better to simply relax for a day.

It's all fine and good when we are just thinking about ourselves and how WE want to run.
The planners have a hard job as well, and sometimes we don't take that into consideration.
We are not the only truck out there, after all.
We are worried about our next load and they have to be worried about dozens of next loads, taking into consideration home time requests and many other factors.

I hear so much bad about Edwardsville, but I have yet to have a problem out of there.
Maybe it's me, or maybe it is someone else that has the problem.

I hear you, but when they try to give me a live load that picks up just short of doing a restart, why accept it? If I would have, then I'd be stuck with a heavy load going to Amarillo (another bad area) and I couldn't even have gotten my restart in. Then I'd be stuck doing a restart in Amarillo because I would have no hours left.

And besides, why send that one when later in the afternoon you try to send me one that drops and picks up before the first load you sent me even gets loaded. Doesn't make sense.

That's why you have to watch these people. Good things come to those who wait. Countless times planners try to pawn off the bad before the good or the bad in order to get the good.

I plan on requesting to stay out 28-30 days instead of 12-14 to avoid the problems and screwy loads I may have to take to get routed home every 12-14.

You don't actually request how many days you want to stay out, you just put the date in for the next home time.
10 days advance notice is good.

    DoubleO7 Thanks this.

That's cool. I will just request the days after 18 or 20 out. Returning to trucking is really a lifestyle decision, and I plan to live the lifestyle. I have all my things taken care of at home and do not have a wife or kids. I do hope that when I do 34hr restarts I get to do them in an interesting place. The one regret I have about my previous driving experiences is that I did not run all 48.

Back here at the Arrowhead Plaza. All of a sudden got tired and not feeling well. A little lightheaded and dizzy. Thought that it best just pull it over before attempt the hills. I have all day to get to Cheyenne on Wednesday. All of 940 miles from here. Can still leave in the morning and get there by noon on Wednesday and then to Denver for my group log class
