Clearfield, PA. No load so bobtailing home. Send a message to my terminal this morning 4 hours before I arrived at final and telling them of my intentions. Find me a load home or bobtailing. Never even a reply from them or ECT. Talked to ECT and they told me that someone did read it but that they did not know who and they said that they would message Jonestown and see if any loads. Heck, they could look themselves and tell me if they wanted. No support at all on the weekends.

I don't know what to say ... I've been using the heck out of the call the planners. Between them and Command, I've run 9800 miles in 21 days, since I came out of the house.

I currently booked through Wednesday morning ...

they had freight, just not going home and not letting me t-call in Columbus. But remember, you are there poster child. One of the first to be on Command and the tester for the new pay package. Lancaster planners have been told not to take our calls unless it has to deal with a load going home, Memphis could not help when I talked to them today, and as far as Command, I am told to wait until the day that I am getting empty and see if they have something. None of this booking 2-3 loads in advance.

I found two things that work ... the longer you stay out, the bigger the effort to get you home ... the longer you stay at home, the bigger the effort to get you out and going.

Now, I realize that isn't going to work for everyone. But I started staying out 8-9 weeks, then going home for 10 to 16 days at a time.

I go home to Ohio about 4 days every 2-3 months. My issue is when I get close to Ohio, within about 5 - 7 days of home time, is when the crap starts. Dealing with Jonestown and Memphis, and when I come out of the house, again it is either Jonestown or Memphis, just never know, and all of that freight that Command used to have around my home, do not know what happened to it.

Home sweet home, bobtail the whole way. This morning when I awoke there was a pplan sent to me and I thought that maybe they all of a sudden found one to go home. Nope. It was a pplan to pick up there on the 2nd and deliver to Campbells on the 2nd. After the last 3 weeks and then this weekend I have some serious thinking to do and a decision to make the first of the year.

Innkeeper, if you read this later today one of our mutual friends is coming to visit. Anything you want me to tell him

Lately I've been staying out about 4 weeks then taking a week off. Had no trouble getting home and no trouble getting out after home time.

Love's in Pecos, TX heading to Phoenix. I finally had to go see a doctor Saturday after the dizziness and vertigo almost caused me to faceplant in my sleeper. Turns out I had fluid behind my left eardrum, nice fat steroid injection and some allergy meds took care of it. Now I get to find an allergist, ear-nose-throat specialist, and dig my way out of a $4k hole.
