And I turn them down with the same reason I've always used, "too many MT miles". Except I now add "old pay plan". Ran 4509 paid miles last week, only 246 MT.

On the "old" plan you're paid less for MT miles but more for loaded. Supposedly if your MT miles exceed 7-8% you'll make more money under the new plan. Since I routinely keep my overall MT miles below 6-7% I stayed with the old pay plan.

Wakeeny, NE. Ended up going to Broken Bow for a nice 39k load that I am going to t-call in PHX on Sunday. Then will hang around until my flight leaves on Thursday. Have a meeting with the mgr that handles the Cabela's account. Wants to talk to me about running dedicated. Not sure about the details yet. Just know that mostly will stay in the mid west

Dropped in Findlay, OH after I called the planners. They knew I wasn't going to have an empty and the only thing available for tomorrow was 160 miles back south in Cincinnati, a show load to Augusta, GA. So here at the T&A in Florence, KY waiting to pick up at 17:00 tomorrow.

    Gallup, NM at TA.

My last load ended up t-calling in Edwardsville. I was still waiting for a trailer solution the next morning for my next load, sent a message and shortly got 3 locations with mt's - all on my way to the next pickup.
2 of them turned out to be the same DC with slightly different addresses, and they were not releasing mt's.

The third place in Ottawa was very nice. The guard brought me over to the mt and said here you go.
It was a 08 trailer that had a leaking roof.
The only other one on the lot was a 16 series, which he gave me. Very nice and accommodating.

So I got to the pickup well within the time window, and now I'm headed to Buena Park, CA for a Tuesday delivery at 0600. A nice 1400 mile load that isn't too pushed for time.

Now in my favorite hotel in Goodyear. Next stop the Philippines Saturday morning. Had a nice few meetings today at the terminal. Also found out that when return I am on Cabela's dedicated out of WI. The manager told me that they will plan me out of here with a load to SLC so then I can get a load from the DC there and up to the DC in WI. From what they told me sounds good. Out and once in a while will bring back dunnage or pick up a load and back to the DC in WI. Mostly DC to store and d&h. DC to DC are mostly saved for the teams. Miles are right. Minimum of 2500 per week

Buckeye91, inkeper and fr8monkey Thank this.
