I was in Milan yesterday ... 3 loads of laundry and rolled out at 5 AM. Now I'm in PHX ... we passed somewhere today.

I pulled out around 8 this morning and glad that waited. Missed all of the fun early this morning in Flagstaff with the snow fall and some whiteout conditions from what I heard

Weatherford, OK. Sent a message to my DM this morning just asking my chances of getting out of Monroe on Thursday just so that I could try and make plans being close to home and could not believe that within 30 minutes receive a pplan from ECT in Memphis, pick up in Zeeland, MI going to Calexico for Monday and told that there will not be a problem getting out of there with all of the loads coming in from Mexico before XMAS and right after. Looks like might just end up with some miles for the end of the year.

Crossville, TN going to Memphis tomorrow. Got lucky I guess and grabbed this one from mac30, the Decatur planners were saying 300 loads short for Sunday and 400 for today. Now the Memphis crew is telling me they don't have a way to get me back to Nashville by Wednesday for my home time request.

Amazing how Swift's automated POS system can send me a load where I need to go, but the wonderful planners in Memphis can't do a dammn thing for me.

Alorton, IL. Flying J. This place has changed since last time here. New reserved parking spots up front. A nice day of crosswinds the whole way and the idiots are on the road.

The only thing I like more than Swift lying to me is Swift screwing up. The load that HAD to be in Memphis for a 1330 live unload hasn't even been scheduled for delivery. It could have been t-called in Antioch last night putting me in a real bed at mom's house tonight. Oh well, Starschmucks in Lebanon tomorrow morning then home.
Flying J in Fairview, TN tonight. Got passed by a Kenworth on I-40 pulling a Swift trailer, was funny how I was doing almost 67 and went by me like I was a company truck. -
Pearsall, TX.
I put my truck in the shop at Laredo yesterday for a vibration problem that had been getting worse.
They showed up at about 1930 to get the truck in, but by then I didn't want to wait all night in the lounge so I asked if I could be gotten in first thing in the morning. I had been up since before 0300 and I was getting tired.
No problem.
It went in at 0715 this morning and they had me out before 11.
I have a new set of steer tires because one was too much out of round, and it rides a lot smoother now.
I went up to the window to set my PTA and the guy asked where I wanted to go.
Well, somewhere in the middle of the country with some miles that would take me through Christmas.
So I'm headed to Cheyenne, WY to the Lowe's DC for a 12/26 delivery.
It's a bit over 1100 miles so it has a bit of time on it. But that's OK since I'm running recap and had less than 4 hours today to work with.
And 1100 miles by Saturday morning gives me enough time to make a good week out of it.
I'm never crazy about going down to Laredo, but the people are always very nice and helpful there.Last edited: Dec 23, 2015

Pilot, Monroe, MI. What a day of winds and rain. Driving East and of course winds are out of the ESE at 12mph gusting to 30 and I am on I-70 through IL and IN and the open fields and then turn north on 69 and getting nailed and then crossed into Ohio on US24 and the winds up to 19 and straight out of the South. Dropped my load at Premier Transportation and snacked me a nice 16 series trailer to get live loaded in the morning and on my way to Calexico for Monday. Hope that I can miss the mess in IL and MO by tomorrow. Listening to the weather it is not sounding pretty down that way

Sorry, but gusting to 30 would not bother me much even if I had an mt trailer.
A 19 is just a breeze.
Well, it would if there were ice or snow.
