Good Night From II

This is my 5th Christmas with Swift and for the first time I'll be home in Laredo tomorrow . I'm shutting down until Monday so I can jingle some bells and do some ho, ho, hoing.

Dropped in Lebanon, TN this morning and made like a bandit to the TA in Franklin before the storms started rolling in. I'm not doing diddly until the 30th. =D

 

This is my 5th Christmas with Swift as well. As usual I'm home with my family.

 

So I can jingle his bells...... Our 14th anniversary was important too. Happy Holidays guys.

 

You are a better man than me. But when lite and wet roads I tend to worry. Guess it comes from getting hit with a gust and being spun 180 degrees and down and embankment backwards

 

Got home yesterday. Staying through at least the 5th ... 6th Christmas with Swift. Everyone spent at home.

First year on the road I was running with my son at another company. Spent Christmas shut down due to weather at Sapps in Omaha, then having to dig out from snow drifts after 3 days of sitting. When we were leaving, we went in for coffee. Girl at the counter asked how our Christmas was. Son replied "worst Christmas ever.And I spent the last two Christmasas in Iraq."

 

I saw a Covenant truck pulling a brand new Swift trailer. Swift have that much freight or short that many drivers?

 

Most likely the trailer was leased to UPS and Covenant was pulling it for UPS.

 

Effingham, il. Day went to crap fast. Deadhead 180 miles to find out load cancelled shortly after I got there. No product. Then another 130 miles to pick up one that was about 2 hours late in gary. T-call in Memphis tomorrow and one going to Nogales for Sunday night. Not really sure about that with the weather. Even forecast snow in el Paso Saturday.

 

At home for the holiday, heading back out tomorrow stacked thru Tuesday. Wanna wish everyone a Merry Christmas.
