    Home in Burnsville, MN.

I came home to find my new SanDisk SSD waiting for me and I could not wait to test it out.
I tested the original drive after doing updates. The boot time was 59.9 seconds from the time I turned on the computer to when the desktop first showed.

It is 26.6 seconds with the SSD.
    Sweet.

I just beat the snow storm today.
I got to Coca Cola before 1000 and was told my appointment wasn't until 1300, so go wait in that area until you get a call.
And it was due to start snowing before 1200.
But I only waited 10 minutes before I got the call.
I docked it and went inside, thanking the guy for getting to me so quickly.
I told him that after this load I was on home time, and he said 'then why don't you just drop the trailer and get out of here?"

    So I did.
I was out the gate before 1100.

A side trip to the Pilot was necessary to scan paperwork.
As I left the Pilot it was snow flurries.
As I got on CR42 it was starting to stick.
About 4 miles later it was getting thick, and by the time I got home there at least an inch on the ground.
I had to back into my space on a slight incline, and it wasn't easy getting traction.

But I beat the storm, thanks to a dock worker at Coke.
    Thanks Jason.

Kindle, Rex012, inkeper and 2 others Thank this.

Lucky that you did not go into the terminal. You would not have gotten out since they closed it this morning according to the message that I saw.

If the live unload had gone as planned I would have had to drop the mt at the terminal.
And, what?! They were not letting people out of there?
    HALT! PRISONER!!!
Still, if I had gotten delayed by another hour I would have had to call my sister to come pick me up. The conditions would have been too bad to risk bobtailing.

Well, it looks like God was really helping me out today, in so many ways.

You did not get that message this morning. They closed the gate I think around noon, not letting anyone out

I left the Pilot at around 11:15.
When I got home at around noon the conditions were pretty bad.
19 miles, 45 minutes... and the last 8 miles were the bad ones.
We have around 6 inches now, at 2100, and NOAA says another 3-5 inches is possible overnight.

I have a doctors appointment at 1300 tomorrow, and I may have to reschedule it. I won't take the chance driving the truck if it looks too slippery out there.

And I come off home time on the 6th, but I need a DOT physical before then. If I don't I'll be on hold until at least Monday.
But losing a couple days of driving is nothing compared to getting in an accident.
I've been watching cars and trucks spinning wheels, spinning out, getting stuck... all of that in the past few hours just watching out my window.
