I pulled in to the Love's at Milan, NM for a bite to eat. When I came back out my truck didn't want to run.
It would idle, but as soon as I tried to pull forward it just sputtered.
On road sent a guy from the Petro to change the fuel filters and check the computer codes. It seems I have a problem with the EGR, so there is no telling how long I'll be down.

I was told to repower the load and then call back to arrange for a tow to Albuquerque.
It took until 2300 last night to repower my load, and by that time I wasn't wanting to wait for a tow and a long ride.
But I did notice that the truck didn't sputter as I was moving to a different parking spot, so when I called on-road I told then that I would try to drive it to the terminal in the morning. They liked the idea of saving the time and money for a tow, so they agreed.

The truck was very slow to accelerate this morning but it reached 62 easy enough. I got a regen warning along the way, but I made it here just fine.
They updated the ECM and got everything tip top and gave the truck back to me at around 1500, but the check engine light came back on before I had even parked.
Now it is back in shop status. The EGR will be replaced first thing in the morning.

Jonestown, have a plan on me that was apparently supposed to be here already. The other driver hasn't even picked it up yet. Pizza and wings ordered, after that I'll slam some more NyQuil and pass out.

Maybe you should try to have it removed from you and get something sooner.
There is no telling how long you may be waiting.

It's a 35k tire load to Greenville, SC. If it isn't here, or at least en route, by tomorrow morning, then I will.

    Are you unloading it?

H3LL NO! It supposed to be a drop. I've been sick for two weeks, I can barely talk as it is.

    That's good.

I've had a few tire loads that said 'driver unload'. I missed that part when reading the pplan.
Luckily it was wrong. I could not do it at my age.
So far every tire load has been unloaded by the consignee.

Hope you get to feeling better soon. Guess there is some nasty stuff going around this season. I've been sick myself for the last month and a half. Mostly coughing, sore throat, runny nose, lost voice. Finally made it to a doctor this past weekend and they said bronchitis and gave me some antibiotics. Now that's all gone and I still have a slight cough. Figures. At least I am feeling better. Now if I could just stay in out of the cold.

I finally got out of the shop this afternoon and it wasn't too long until a pplan came in.

1 loaded mile, 17 miles away, to pick up an mt trailer.
That was finished at around 1530. It is now after 2200 and still no new load offering.

But at least it got me out of the terminal and to the TA. I really needed a shower.
