Last time I played at the Sparks Petro Alamo casino year before last I left with a bit over $6000 after playing blackjack about 5 hours . Last year was terrible for my second job , gambling . There was barely enough freight to cover the serious stuff and not near enough for fun and games . I never play slots , roulette or craps.

I do play blackjack sometimes, but it is hard to find the right conditions.
I like to play either one on one with the dealer, or at the last position in a fairly full table. The game can be controlled best those ways.
I mostly play slots and video poker.
I agree about what some others have said about the pay out percentage. It has gone down over the years.
Back when I was working in Reno and Vegas the payouts would not usually be under 95%. That would include a lot of small payouts with a couple big ones.
The loosest slots would be 98.5%.
But whatever the percentage, I still play the same way.
20 bucks goes in, and I either get a decent return or I leave.
And usually $60 is my maximum for any day.
Because, with me, I will hit it early or not at all.
Living in those places gave me the advantage of being able to experiment a bit.
One thing I noticed is that a machine is more likely to pay a big jackpot after it has been idle for a while.
It's like the longer you play a machine, the less likely it is to pay big. It will just suck in the money. -
El Paso terminal. Got here 13 hours early and with 1 hour left on my 11/ Lovely ride across 20 and 10 today. No traffic to speak of.

Yeah I have to agree with Moosetek13, of all the times I've hit on a slot, it was in the first few spins. Then if not, its lucky to just break even or lose or come out a little.
I hate table games, I just get too nervous slots are relaxing for me. -
I do the same as far as slots. Go in with either $20 or $30. If hitting let the credits build up. When that 20 or 30 is done, then cash out the credits, if any. Last time that I was in Sparks I got hooked on one of the penny slots, and hit enough that night to pay for my hotel and meal.

And I finally got a load out of Lathrop, but it doesn't pick up until tomorrow at 1100.
I'm headed to Fruitland, ID with a heavy Coca Cola load.
And I'll be contacting my DM tomorrow asking for some layover pay.
I really hate getting into this area, as I always seem to sit for a couple days.
Trouble is, my next home time will be in this area to be with an aging aunt - possibly for the last time.
I'm looking forward to seeing her again, and cooking her a really good dinner. But I'm not looking forward to being back in this general area. -
I can't remember where, but I stopped at a Love's not too far back in time.
I took my third choice of machines because the others were currently being played, put in $20, and in less than 5 minutes I walked out with $200.
The guy at the next machine told me he had just lost a hundred to it.
A quick in and out is my way of doing it.
Win or lose, it will be quick. -

Plus1 would be devastated with your lack of proper planning. -
Plus1 would be devastated with your lack of proper planning. I thought that it was MAX OUT now, not that heard anything from corporate yet, and hope to be gone when it does happen.
