Central Texas, on home time. PTA is tomorrow afternoon. I have a new student finishing orientation in Lancaster. All we need is a preplan...

I made it home just before 2000 so I made pretty good time today.
The last receiver wasn't crazy about me bobtailing out, but he let me. It was a pretty small lot and I guess they don't want trailers stacking up. But I really didn't want to take an mt back to the terminal before I could head home.

PTA is Sunday at noon, and I should have my #2 daughter on board with me when I leave.
She came out here to be with my sister for the summer. When her little sister decided she didn't like the trucker life Leann was very excited at the chance to get back on. So she will spend half the summer with my sister and half with me on the truck.

    Subutai and scottied67 Thank this.

J in Waco, dropped at Caterpillar and no empty. Since my empty solution is closed I decided to do laundry and get groceries. Next trip picks up at Kimberly Clark in Paris heading to Illinois. Looking like i can get some quality rest tonight now that the APU is fixed.

Hayti, MO. Back in OTR. Today was the final straw for me. After the 3rd week of less then 2500 miles, 2 of them less than 2K, after what I was told and no explanation, then I had a pplan from the planner getting me home on Saturday pulled because the system said that I could not get the load delivered on time, tracking 18 hours late, this was because it turns out that the one that I am loading in the morning can not drop until the 9th and the one going home had to be picked up on the 8th and delivered on the 9th, well, there was nothing, and then told that if need to run until home time, needed to take another 34, enough was enough.

Yep. They have 3-4 weeks to make it right. I still have a pan in the fire and it will not take much. They said that they are going to get me back South where right now the fr8 is. We will see. I was talking to my DM and he was telling me that what was happening is that my loads kept falling within pay periods, and the 34. His other L/O is doing okay, but the company drivers are doing much better.

The reason company drivers are doing better there trucks get loaded first they can care less about yours

Oh I know. Seen it first hand at a customer one day. Watched 3 company trucks come in after me and drop and they were already planned and out of there. Two of them at least 1 hour after I arrived and the 3rd one about 2-3 hours after he dropped. My DM called the planner in Memphis and he was told that he is going by PTA, so was asked, if my PTA was 0800 and the other 3 were later than mine, why was I still sitting. Within 10 minutes I had a plan, but after sitting almost all day

They finally broke my west coast holding pattern, SLC lined up another student but another DDcalled me back, he's already assigned, now I'm waiting on another student. I'm bouncing up to Burley ID, then slc and to Little Rock AR. Probably end up shut down in West valley. If things go smothe.

@blsqueak, sounds like you are getting the short end of the stick, looks like I'll have to read a few back to catch up.

I'm wondering what the bubble map shows for the Inver Grove Heights area.
The terminal was over full with trucks, and even bobtails had no space left to park.
The Pilot next door was also over capacity, and not with Swift trucks.
