    The inverter drains the batteries.
I can't run the grill or toaster oven without the engine idling.

Phoenix terminal, new student lasted 2 days. My trailer Is red tagged, and my truck has an oil leak. (fairly shure my student blew something.)

Load was supposed to go to casa grande in the am, we shall see.

Inverter is definately hard on batteries. You can burn the juice quick.

If you're drawing a heavy load like that, yes. My microwave will have the inverter singing the low voltage blues within 30 seconds with the engine shut off.

My comment was that you have the inverter to run the 20" box fan. You can run one of those for a couple days without needing to run the engine. (Did that many times when on Target Dedicated.)

Phoenix, day 2. Borrowed day cab, delivered load.

Had fun with the day cab. Normally used to an extended frame and a 8-10ft spread with 5the wheel to the rear. Volvo day cab with a dry van, I felt like I could squeeze that thing through a hole a mouse couldn't go. And those mirrors, I didn't even know how much I missed those giant mirrors, makes the job easier. Thier like cheat codes, when your used to these chiclit sized FL mirrors.

As for the FB truck, it needs an oil pan. They offered me another truck, I told em I'd wait for the oil pan. I finally found a way of organizing my equipment I'm 99% happy with, it'll take me over a day to switch trucks and get the equipment in some semblance of order. Screw that. I'm driving this thing till it explodes.

Every time I've gone from a Volvo to a different make, it was the same.
    I miss the large mirrors.

The Cascadia seems to be the worst. They are practically useless.

By comparison for sure. The Cascadia mirrors are almost literally half the size.

First time I got to try the Ishift too. I understand why it gets so many good reviews. Blows the heck out of those Eaton autos. Even if it was with an anemic 11liter motor. I think the DT12 is the only fair match to it. And I think the Ishift still out performs it slightly.

    Mine is the DD15/DT12 combination.
For the most part I really like it.

Well I made it home on time today.
By on time I mean I got this load delivered within the pay period. It was a 3 days later than my requested date, but it worked out better for me.

I stopped by Best Buy on my way home to pick up a SSD for my new computer. Actually 2 of them because the first store didn't have the one I wanted.
I got home with 6 minutes left on my 11. That's cutting it close.

    Burnsville, MN on home time.
It's nice to be home again, and nice to have a fast computer again. A SSD makes all the difference.

And I got in for my DOT physical this afternoon so I am good for another year. It will be nice not to get the extra messages about how every load is for getting me to a terminal to get my physical, when none of them have gone near a terminal that was listed in the message.

    FerrissWheel Thanks this.
