Belleville, KS at a new Love's.
Not much traffic on US 81 and this place is nearly empty.

We're headed down to Waco, TX with a load of pet food.

Pretty uneventful day. Delivered a pallet load in Aurora, NE this morning and then waited 6 hours to pick up the next load - from the same place I just delivered to.
But very quick and easy drop and hooks.

    Flagstaff ish.

Weekend plans foiled by a team load that has to be in Layfaette Indiana by the 19th. Of course the lift gates were about 24 hours late coming over the boarder.

2 lift gates, that's all. Someone must really want these things. Usually theres like 5 stops and basically infinite time. This is only two stops, at the same building (don't know why they do that but I'll gladly take the stop pay, it's a common occurrence in Flatbed.) I'm running night, students running day. He's over half through. Just trying to get him done before July.

This is why Exxon Mobil in Beaumont and Port Allen, LA are on my "never again " list. There is no excuse for a load that I was sent a preplan the day before not being loaded and ready when I arrive on time to pick it up. The last time I was at Port Allen I lucked out and met the shipping manager. I asked him how he kept his job being so completely incompetent. Things quickly went downhill from there and turned into a snotty fest I thoroughly enjoyed. I got a call from the CSR the next day who was really understanding but asked me to "grin and bear it ". I've grinned every time I've declined an Exxon Mobil preplan since with the reason, "I'd rather have an incurable junk rash."

On the other hand, Chevron loads out of Port Arthur, TX are my get home to Laredo loads when I land in Houston, the ### end of the South. Out of a few dozen I've only had to pull one off the dock and they were apologetic about that. All the rest have been ready to go even when I was a bit early and everyone there is a pleasure to deal with.

Most of the customers we deal with are good people and our interactions with them are an opportunity to enrich our lives. Some aren't worth the air they breathe even though what they exhale feeds a weed.

Stay Laredo to the Southeast and back. Steady miles year round, great food and no Phoenix ######## to deal with.

I usually do. You were in the inspection lane last week when I was in Laredo getting ready to leave, couldn't catch you. You were on break at the Amigos in Flatonia the first time I stopped in there last month. I keep missing you by "that" much.

Stop that! I'm going to pm you my phone number shortly. I've looked forward to meeting you for awhile since our paths seem to cross so often.

    Billings, MT.

Finished up the 3 stopper today, which hosed me for this next check.
A 1400 mile load with 2 extra stops, and it delivers on a Thursday. Oh well, but my next check will be killer.

I have another ~1400 mile load now. It picks up here at the drop yard and delivers Monday morning in Indiana.
    I love these long runs.

El Paso to Laredo. We are underway and student in the last 50.

Be in Laredo 12 hrs from now. Then to Kenworth up in Renton WA. Got a trailer stack right now, think we are picking up frame rails after.
