Once I become a mentor I'll no longer be doing dedicated. Not sure, but I think dedicated accounts require all drivers to have a minimum amount of experience, so that would disqualify trainees. They'll need to find another driver to work on the dedicated team before I can get off the truck and get into orientation for training.fr8monkey Thanks this.

there are some mentors on dedicated accounts, I have known a few people who trained on a dedicated and then got a spot on the fleet after since they knew the process and stuff. One of the o/o's on my fleet also trains sometimes.
fr8monkey Thanks this. -
That's good to know. With this TJ Maxx dedicated you HAVE to be a team because it is always coast to coast runs, so that wouldn't work for the first 50 hours training time with each student. However, once they qualify for team driving then it would work.

Sunset, TX. This so called 32K load turned out to be 44K. This is going to kill my mpg all the way to Portland. Either the customer changed the load or CSR was not given the correct weights, like the weight of the racks. Heck, they did not even have the net weight right on the pplan. It is actually 35K. Can not believe that the racks are 2K each.

that will be a heavy load, when I picked up a nestle load last week in Modesto it was 47k but no scales heading south on the 99 back to the dcdptrucker Thanks this.
