Good Night From II

I really dislike having to park on the street outside Otay. I have usually avoided it.
They do not have good coffee for the morning wake up.

 

I got lucky at one of my stops today. There was a Safeway next to it so I was able to get a nice piece of salmon for dinner.

And what a nice day. I arrived a bit early for all 4 stops, and they were glad to see me. Every one went very quickly.

Now I'm headed back to Lewiston and stopped just after I left my last delivery at a little Conoco station that has a few truck spots. But they charge - a whole $4.

I head out around 0700 tomorrow. Pick up at around 1000, then around 1200 miles to Denver for delivery at 0715 on Monday at 0715.
That means a reserved spot at the TA Sunday. I never go there without first reserving a spot.

Then hopefully my load home.
Even though it is a rather lazy week, if I deliver by Wednesday in MN it will be a pretty good week for miles.

 

If you spend two hours a day cooking a meal in your cab why not buy a coffee maker as well and brew your own in your cab. Just wondering.

 

Then I have to also get a grinder, and the cleanup for making a cup of coffee is a real pain.
Plus, I take the time for a good dinner. But I am not going to spend the time and trouble in the morning to do that.

 

Didn't have the hours to get to the pilot. Being so later... probably had no parking anyways.
I make my own coffee.
They had put somemuffins out and a trashcan full of juices and soda. So grabbed a couple for the road.

 

Loves in cedar city ut. Made it here with 3 minutes left on my 11. Have only 6.5 hrs for tomorrow. Then8hrs the next. Still think I can get to Cheyenne by Friday.
Made good mileage, 584 miles, considering it took about 5 hrs to get to the Cajun pass after leaving otay mesa around 9 a.m.. picked up in Wilmington and hit a lot of traffic. Was gonna stop for my 30 break in if terminal for lunch but my dl said they made breakfast today. So ended up doing it at flying j in Barstow.

On my way to Denver with a nice light load of paper. 16k light.
Decided to treat myself to a room tonight at the Silver Dollar in MT.

 

Believe that's the pass on the 101 frwy between thousand oaks and camarillo.
I was on the pass that comes down from i-15 . I might have spelled it wrong. Cajon pass?

 

Pilot I grand junction co. For the night had only 6.5 hrs on 70. Stopped at the flying j in Richfield ut for fuel. Will have 9 hrs to work with tomorrow to get to Cheyenne wy. About 350 miles to final.
Pretty easy day. Only excitement I saw was a car on the side changing front tire blowout. Really damaged the left from fender
